Abstract

The increase in population greatly affects the measure of waste generation. The huge measure of waste is not supported by the number of waste management facilities and infrastructure, resulting in problems in waste management, such as transportation to final disposal of waste that is not properly accommodated, causing disease, dirty environment, reducing river carrying capacity and so on. This research was conducted to determine how waste management is in the city of Pangkajene and determine the infrastructure requirements for solid waste operational activities. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that gives an outline of how to oversee strong waste in the city of Pangkajene and the collection of quantitative data in the form of generation and composition of waste. According to the results of the research, the total amount of waste from the city of Pangkajene is 92.52 m3 / day. The average waste generated is 2.06m3 / day / person. From the calculation of solid waste infrastructure needs, it is obtained 900 units, 46 units of carts, 19 units of containers and 4 units of trucks every day. From the research results, it is concluded that the waste management system in Pangkajene city needs to be improved in terms of infrastructure and service levels in order to maximize solid waste operational activities.

Abstract

Roads are economic supporting infrastructure that connects an area with other areas that are used by the general public and passed by various kinds of vehicles. With the increase in population, there is also an increase in the volume of vehicles and loads passing over the road pavement structure. The development of technology in the field of road traffic and pavement so that good aggregate quality is needed in a mixture of road pavement structures that have good durability and are not easily damaged. Therefore, it must be tested for aggregate characteristics, especially for Laston BC before use. This study was designed to test the characteristics of the BC concrete asphalt layer mixture with the use of Cikkee River stones, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency with the use of variations in asphalt content of 0.50% addition, namely the range of 5% to 7% using the Conventional Marshall and Immersion tests. The test results showed that the value of the characteristics of the mixture using Cikee River stones in the form of stability, flow, VIM, VMA and VFB for conventional Marshall test results met the specifications. For the Marshall Immertion test, a residual Marshall Stability (SMS) value of 93.7% was obtained with the use of an optimum asphalt content of 6% meeting the specifications required by Bina Marga.
