Abstract

Background: Patient Satisfaction is the reflection of the health service quality they receive. To find out the service performance of the government officials to the public, it is necessary to assess the public opinions about their satisfaction toward the services provided in the Laboratory. Based on the Decree of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment Number: Kep/25/M. PAN/2/2004 concerning the General Guidelines for Preparing Public Satisfaction Index in the Government Institution Service Units, it is necessary to do assessment on the satisfaction index toward public services. Then the 14 indicators were used as an assessment instrument based on the decree of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment. Methods: The sample was taken by using Non Probability Sampling with the total number of 150 respondents taken from the patients who visited the Laboratory of UPTD Puskesmas Wonorejo. The research was conducted in May 2016. The data were analyzed descriptively and the value of Public Satisfaction Index (PSI) was calculated. Findings: The research findings showed that the value of public satisfaction index of PSI was 74.065 in which the service quality was categorized B or good. Conclusion: Public Satisfaction Index toward the services provided by Laboratory at UPTD Puskesmas Wonorejo Samarinda was 74.085 with good service performance .

Abstract

Background: Based on the data of sikda (local health information system) diarrhea is still one of the major health problems suffered in Samarinda City. Even in some villages, this type of health problem ranks the third most suffered disease. Diarrhea is a disease which is caused by fecal bacteria. Escherichia coli bacteria can be used as an indicator of contamination in water and food or drink by the bacteria derived from feces. This bacterium can spread through various ways, among others is through contaminated water and food or drink. This research aims to test the existence of Escherichia coliin unlabeled soya milk in Samarinda City. Methods: This research used 7 samples of unlabeled soya milk to prove the existence of Escherichia coliwith the stages that included presumptive test and confirmed test. Presumptive test used media Mac conkey and confirmed test used IMVIC method. Findings: The result of the research showed that all samples tested were negative of Escherichia coli. However, 3 samples of soya milk contained Klebsiella pneumonia andKlebsiella ozaenae Conclusion:It is concluded in this research that there was noEscherichia coli bacteria found in the samples of unlabeled soya milk so that they have met the Indonesia National Standard, SNI Number 7399-2009 and Minister of Health Regulation Number 1096/Menkes/Per/2011. However, there were other types of bacteria found, namely Klebsiella pneumonia andKlebsiella ozaenaebacteria.

Abstract

Background: Urinalysis is one of the effective methods of supporting examination and comprehensive. The urine examination late can cause the changing of the results of a urinalysis, so it can change the patient’s diagnosis and governance. Methods: The sampling technique that is used was quota sampling with many 50 samples of patients in health laboratory UPTD province of East Kalimantan. Examination is conducted at May 2016 in health laboratory UPTD province of East Kalimantan. Data were analyzed with statistical correlation coefficients (spearman) test. Results: Research results based on the correlation coefficient test statistics (Spearman rank) of chemical urine parameters that influence at a time when is delayed 2 hours and 4 hours of glucose, protein, pH, specific gravity, ketones, leukocytes and erythrocytes. While the urine chemical parameters have no affect on the time when is delayed 2 hours and 4 hours of bilirubin, urobilinogen, and nitrite. Conclusion: There is the influence of time of sample storage urine for 2 hours and 4 hours at a temperature of 2-8oC against the examination result of glucose, protein, pH, specific gravity, ketones, leukocytes, erythrocytes and have no effect against the examination results of bilirubin, urobilinogen, and nitrite.
