Abstract

This study aims to describe the writing skills evaluation instrument and describe the evaluation of the writing skills assessment instrument used by Indonesian junior high school teachers. This type of research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data sources used in this study were 3 Indonesian language teachers who teach in junior high schools. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques were carried out by: (1) interviewing and asking for documentation in the form of lesson plans to 3 Indonesian language teachers. (2) marking the results of interviews and the part of the lesson plan related to research data, and (3) making an inventory of these data into data analysis guidelines. The analysis stage is as follows: (1) identifying the data according to the research concept. (2) classifying data based on the theory that is the reference. (3) analyzing the data by recording words related to the research. (4) interpret the data that has been analyzed in accordance with the theory used to analyze the research, and (5) conclude the results of the data description by writing a report. So, the results of this study can be concluded as follows. (1) The assessment of writing skills used by Indonesian junior high school teachers is in the form of a test. The test used is a description test. (2) In general, the writing skills assessment instrument designed by the Indonesian junior high school teacher is quite good.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya rubrik penilaian yang valid sebagai pedoman dalam menilai hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas rubrik penilaian menulis paragraf narasi dan deskripsi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskripsi. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa angka yang didapat dari angket validitas yang diisi oleh validator. Validator dalam penelitian ini dua orang dosen bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan rubrik penilaian menulis paragraf narasi dan deskripsi serta angket kepada validator lalu validator menvalidasi rubrik yang diberikan berdasarkan angket validasi yang telah diberikan. Hasil validasi tersebut dijadikan data dalam penelitian ini. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut ini. (1) Validitas rubrik penilaian menulis paragraf narasi adalah 95 dengan kategori sangat valid. (2) Validitas rubrik penilaian menulis paragraf deskripsi adalah 96,25 dengan kategori sangat valid. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan rubrik penilaian menulis paragraf narasi dan persuasi bisa digunakan untuk menilai hasil belajar menulis paragraf dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.KATA KUNCI: paragraf narasi dan deskripsi; rubrik penilaian; validitas VALIDITY OF ASSESSMENT RUBRIC DEVELOPMENT WRITE PARAGRAPH AND NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION IN INDONESIAN LEARNINGABSTRACT: This research is motivated by the importance of a valid assessment rubric as a guide in assessing student learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to determine the validity of the assessment rubric for writing narrative paragraphs and descriptions in Indonesian language learning. This type of research is quantitative research using the method of description. The data in this study are numbers obtained from validity questionnaires filled out by the validator. The validators in this study were two Indonesian language lecturers. The data collection technique was carried out by providing an assessment rubric for writing narrative paragraphs and descriptions as well as a questionnaire to the validator then the validator validated the given rubric based on the validation questionnaire that had been given. The results of the validation are used as data in this study. The findings in this study are as follows. (1) The validity of the assessment rubric for writing narrative paragraphs is 95 with a very valid category. (2) The validity of the assessment rubric for writing a descriptive paragraph is 96.25 with a very valid category. So, it can be concluded that the assessment rubric for writing narrative and persuasive paragraphs can be used to assess the results of learning to write paragraphs in Indonesian language learning.KEYWORDS: narrative and description paragraphs; assessment rubric; validity
