Abstract

Coal leaching by using mine acid water and solution Mg2+ can reduce the levels of ash and alkali to its needs grade. Thus demonstrates the ongoing leaching process of ion exchange between the ions contained in coal with ions contained in the solution. Coal can acted as ion exchanger due to its hollow structure that could contained alkali and earth-alkali ions in its cavities. Thus the alkali ions can be exchanged with other ions in solution. Coal have more adsorption affinity to divalent alkali ion such as Mg2+ and Mn2+ compare to monovalent alkali ion such as Na+. For ion with the same charge the ion with smaller volume would be prefer due to the relaxation of matrix contraction within the exchange. The first phase leaching conducted to understand the Na content level trend on coal by comparison to Na solution content. The procedure of the study is as follow: first coal is leached with mine acid water, second the pulp drained and count the Na, Mg, Mn content, and third make the graph using the calculation.

Abstract

Study of coal washing was conducted by designing and creating chance cone equipment which was then continued by process performance test using iron sand as a separator medium. The variable used for this experiment was feed coal with the size of -12.5 +5 mm; -5mm +1.68 mm ; and -1.68 mm +0.85 mm, a mixer with a spinning speed of 44, 53, 72, 96, and 120 rpm, and a media relative density ( suspension of water and iron sand ) of 1.3 and 1.4 . From the result of sink – float test, the initial coal ash level of 7.91%, 5.73%, and 6.76% each was obtained. From the result of equipment performance test, the highest efficiency was obtained at 1.4 media relative density of 69.18% at mixer speed of 120rpm with bait size of -1,68 +0,85 mm and ash content of 6,39%.

Abstract

PT. Pulau Lemon is a mining company especially in gravel quarry. Along with the existence of a project undertaken by the company, the demand for gravel material experiences instability (fluctuation). Therefore, it is necessary to plan the production of gravel well and evaluate the performance of the Crushing Plant. To evaluate the performance of the Crushing Plant, the calculation of the tool capacity, the value of the reduction ratio, tool recovery and work efficiency is carried out. The production plan only refers to the sales history of the last 4 years then averaged over the number of working days. Based on these calculations, it is known that the material intake is 183.43 tons/day, with a hopper capacity of 32.41 tons and a feeder capacity of 244 tons/hour. Crusher 1, 2, and 3 capacities are 502.21 tons/hour, 290.93 tons/hour, and 245.52 ton /hour respectively. The capacity of Conveyor 1 (rock ash) belt is 40.21 tons/day, Conveyor 2 (0.5 - 1 cm) is 35.01 tons/day, Conveyor 3 (1 - 2 cm) is 22.85 tons/day, and Conveyors (2 - 3 cm) of 28.96 ton /day. The value of Jaw Crusher 1 Reduction Ratio is 10.83, Jaw Crusher 2 Reduction Ratio is 5.20, Jaw Crusher 3 Reduction Ratio is 8.8, and Jaw Crusher 4 Reduction Ratio is 8.8. The recovery value at processing time is 69%, and the optimum work efficiency is 54%. The production plan obtained was 1,986.68 tons/day.

Abstract

Lintas Artha is a mining company with an open mining system where its activities are directly related to outside air. Topographical conditions in the form of a plateau which has a height of ± 44m-62m above sea level (dpl). The mining location is on a hill, so the weather is very uncertain. Influencing mining activities, the company needs to pay attention to the proper drainage system to prevent or control water entering the mining location from rainwater and runoff. Therefore, a technical study of the flow system on the haul road will be carried out. Based on the calculation, it is found that the area of the rain catchment area is 24,400 km2, the dimensions of the open channel in the haul road area have a channel bottom width of 1m, a water guard height of 0.6m, a channel slope of 60°. Then we get a trapezoidal channel that can flow a discharge of 33.33m3/second.

Abstract

To increase the production of the gravels processing, it is necessary to have a fairly mature plan with economical consideration. One of the conditions so that the business runs as planned, it takes a synergistic processing unit to achieve the desired goal. The study aimed to determine the production in the processing unit of PT. Pusaka Dewa Krisna. The method used in this research is a descriptive method, where the descriptive research method looks at the symptoms of one or more variables that are observed directly in the field. This method aims to collect all the information that will be used. The results of the research are for the size of the hopper area of 4.5m2 with a production capacity of 10.32 tons/m2 of crusher, Primary crusher capacity of 55.80 tons/hour, secondary crusher capacity of 22,322 tons/hour, cone crusher capacity of 50 tons/hour.

Abstract

Mining activities can be categorized as activities with high risk of accidents, including accidents that cause a risk of minor injuries to a risk of death. PT. Nur Hazanah Karya Abadi is a company engaged in mining operation with gravel as the main mineral material. The standard operating procedures applied in this company have not matched with the standards of occupational safety and health of mining companies, as mentioned in the regulation of the minister of energy and mineral resource of Indonesia. Moreover, the availability of personal protective equipment in this company is also incomplete and inadequate. Furthermore, the lack of attention from employees regarding the use of personal protective equipment at work also has the potential to create work accidents.

Abstract

PT. Pulau Lemon is one of the companies engaged in mining operation, with gravel as its mining material. Therefore, to anticipate the aggregate increase in material demand from the company, it is necessary to carry out a sieve analysis in order to produce the planned size (fraction) according to the needs of aggregate utilization. Based on the results of data processing, the highest sieving efficiency of sifting of coarse aggregate at Wito Bridge is found in sieve number 1, with the percentages of 0.61%. the smallest sieving efficiency is found in sieve number 2 and 1½, which is 0.00%. For the fine aggregate sieving efficiency at Talud Wedoni, the largest sieving efficiency is found in sieve number 1, with the percentages of 0.53%, while the smallest efficiency is in sieving efficiency with sieve number 2 and 1½, which is 0.00%. Moreover, the largest sieving efficiency at Wito Bridge is found in sieve number 4, which is 39.34%, while the smallest efficiency is found in sieve number 100 at 0.01%. The largest sieving efficiency at Talud Wedoni is found in the sieve number 4 at 12.45%, while the smallest efficiency is found in sieve number 100, with the percentages of 0.04%.
