Abstract

This study aims to answer questions related to the concept of the development model. In addition, this article also focuses on discussing development models and learning technologies for English. The qualitative approach used and the method applied in this article is library research. Data collection is taken from various libraries, then reviewed and set aside. The results of this analysis design that the development model is a conceptual process of a model with the aim of refinement and enhancement of a previous model that has been previously done. Several models of media development and learning technology have their respective stages and processes in learning design. The ASSURE model consists of stages, Analyzing Students, Country Standards and Objectives, Choosing Strategies, Technology, Media, and Materials, Utilizing Technology, Media, and Materials, Requiring Student Participation, Evaluating and Revising. Then the ADDIE Model is in stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Next, Dick and Carey consisted of Identify Instructional Goals, Conduct Instructional Analysis, Identify Entry Behaviors, Write Performance Objectives, Develop Criterion Tests, Develop Instruction Strategy, Develop and Select Instructional Materials, Develop and Conduct Formative Evaluation, Develop and Conduct Summative Evaluation.

Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to determine the needs of the English Club, (2) to review the English Club's human resources and infrastructure, (3) to evaluate the implementation of the English Club, and (4) to examine the results of the English Club program. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with the CIPP model. The results of this study are first, how the English Club can become a forum for IAIS Sambas students to have good English skills and this can be seen from the purpose of the establishment of the English Club itself. Then, the English Club already has a quite good infrastructure, but for teaching staff it uses non-experts. Next, at the implementation level, it has been carried out quite well, although there are still obstacles. Finally, the program is successful for active members who have a good base of English skills. But for members who are not active in English, this program is not much help.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) is a community-based program that aims to improve public speaking skills and event management skills on the device of Sungai Serabek Village, Teluk Keramat District. This PKM reviews about public speaking theory by Arih Budi Utomo with its motto ideas namely IDEAS (Inner power, Delivery, Effect, Authentic, and Self Assessment). In addition, participants also studied the differences between discussions, seminars, symposiums, and workshops which are some of the terms of organizing formal events handled by event organizers. The results of this PKM showed that participants were very enthusiastic to follow what can be seen from the list of presents that meet the targets, the running of question and answer sessions, and interactions during the seminar. The majority of participants are village devices that often become MCs or community leaders in various types of formal and non-formal events feel helped by this seminar and become an exchange of ideas and experiences.

Abstract

Education is the right of every citizen and is the noble aspiration of the Indonesian nation for the general welfare and the intellectual life of the nation as stated in the 1945 Constitution. However, in fact, there are still many imbalances in the world of education in Indonesia, including in urban areas. In general, the condition of schools in cities is more advanced than in villages. Judging from the facilities, schools in the city have sufficient facilities to support learning. In addition to good learning facilities, teachers in urban areas also have high competencies. However, it is unfortunate that many children drop out of school because school fees are quite expensive
