Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji struktur mitos Ukullek masyarakat Hubula di Lembah Baliem, Papua dalam teori Struktur Aktan dan Fungsional Greimas. Masalah yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana struktur mitos Ukullek masyarakat Hubula di Lembah Baliem, Papua dalam teori Struktur Aktan dan Fungsional Greimas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Selanjutnya fakta/data yang ditemukan dianalisis berdasarkan metode analitik. Penelitian ini menganalisis struktur aktan dan fungsional berdasarkan teori Struktur A.J. Greimas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur aktan terdiri atas (1) pengirim, (2) objek, (3) penerima, (4) subjek, dan (5) pembantu dalam mitos tersebut. Struktur fungsional dibedakan menjadi (1) situasi awal; (2) transformasi, yakni (a) tahap uji kecakapan, (b) tahap utama, (c) tahap kegemilangan; dan (3) situasi akhir terdapat di dalamnya. Selain itu, ditemukan adanya relevansiantara mitos dan masyarakat Hubula di Lembah Baliem, Papua.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the archeologist settings on Penguasa-Penguasa Bumi novel that written by Don Richardson. This novel tells about Stan Dale and Yale people. Stan Dale is a missionary on Papua. He was effort to introduce the Jesus ’ rule in Yale’s life. This is a description method and the technique of this research is library research. The result of this research is to find most of the Dokwi Vam, Kuil Kembu, Yogwa, and Seimima on its archeologist setting.

Abstract

This paper shows and explains about the Ormu’s folklores based the prehistoric objects on Ormu Island. This paper purposes to show and explain about the Ormu’s folklores based to the prehistoric objects on Ormu Island. This research uses the descriptive method. The technique of this research are the observe technique and library technique. The result of this research; 1) to find three folklores about the prehistoric objects in Ormu Island, and 2) to describe three folklores about the prehistoric objects in Ormu Island. That folklores are; 1) Kisah Raksasa dan Suku Ormu, it was retold by Monika Toto, 2) Raksasa Jahat Penghuni Kampung Ormu, it was retold by Monika Toto, and 3) Terjadinya Pulau Kelapa, it was retold by Monika Toto.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kode-kode budaya yang terdapat dalam sastra lisan Biak di Papua. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktur dan semiotik Umberto Eco. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah sastra lisan Biak yang diambil di Kampung Opiaref, Distrik Biak Timur. Melalui analisis semiotik sistem sintaktik diperoleh kode­?kode yang signifikan antara lain: latar darat dan laut, tokoh Manarmakeri dan Marmar, serta mitos sebagai penanda hak ulayat. Dari analisis semiotik sistem semantik diperoleh kode­?kode yang signifikan seperti: nyambondi, tifa Aryam, farbuk idadwer, patrilokal, eksistensi anak laki­?laki dalam kekerabatan patrilineal, ararem, abeyap srendi, munara, dan totem ikan sako. Makna dari kode­?kode budaya tersebut mengomunikasikan tentang proyeksi berfikir mereka yang bermuara pada eksistensi dan gengsi keret. Abstract: This research aims to describe the cultural codes in oral literature of Biak in Papua. It is a descriptive qualitative research with structure and Umberto Eco?s semiotic approach. The main data of this research are the oral literature of Biak, exactly from Opiaref Village, East Biak District. Based on the semiotic analysis of syntactic system, there are some significant codes such as the setting of land and sea, the characters of Manarmakeri and Marmar, and myth as a claim of land possession. Based on the semiotic analysis of semantic system, there are some significant codes such as nyambondi, tifa Aryam, farbuk idadwer, patrilocal custom, the existence of a man in patrilineal clan, ararem, abeyap srendi, munara, and totem of sako fish. The significance of those cultural codes communicate their way of thinking, emphasizes on clan existence and prestige. Key Words: oral literature; cultural codes; meaning

Abstract

One of the UPT Badan Bahasa in Papua, Balai Bahasa Provinsi Papua has also conducted literature counseling in various forms so far. The diversity in the implementation of literature counseling by Balai Bahasa Provinsi Papua in Papua is the background to this research. Based on the background previously stated, this research will focus on the needs of beneficiaries of literature counseling in Jayapura Regency. This study aims to formulate the design and construction of literary extension so that it can be carried out in a structured and well-planned manner. In particular, this study aims to analyze the needs of beneficiaries of literary counseling. This research was conducted using a quantitative description approach. In addition to the results of a questionnaire, the data in the study were also supplemented by observations, document scrutiny, and unstructured interviews. Respondents in this study totaled thirty people consisting of students, teachers, university students, and the general public in Jayapura Regency, Papua Province. The needs of the beneficiaries of literary counseling in Jayapura Regency are related to services and literary counseling, the activities of participants in literary counseling, and the environment for literary counseling.

Abstract

The development of the world of literature in the land of Papua in a period of 20 years has been quite dynamic. During this period, Indonesian-Papuan poets published their works on various themes. Documentation related to Indonesian-Papuan literary and literary works, especially the genre of poetry, is still minimal in Papua and in Indonesia more broadly. This is the background for conducting this research. Based on the background previously stated, this research will focus on poetry and biographies of Indonesian-Papuan poets in the past two decades (2000-2020). This study aims to inventory and discuss works and writers of Indonesian-Papuan poetry published in 2000-2020. This research was conducted using a description approach through literature study. In addition, secondary data collection was also carried out from various sources. This aims to obtain as much information as possible regarding the works of Indonesian-Papuan poets and poets over the past two decades (2000-2020). Most of the published works are packaged in poetry collection books. A total of 17 poetry collections have been presented by 14 Indonesian-Papuan poets in two decades.
