Abstract

The construction of the factory will increase the amount of rainwater into runoff. This will cause an increase in flood inundation downstream. The purpose of this study is to plan an environmentally sound drainage channel in a shoe factory area of 16 hectares. The research location is in Lebasiu Village, Lebaksiu District. This research begins with conducting a hydrological analysis to obtain the most suitable rainfall intensity to be applied at the activity location. The maximum daily rainfall data comes from the Pakubeureum, Kadipaten, Jatiwangi and Pesayangan Tegal rain observation posts. The calculation results show that the selected rainfall intensity is the Van Breen Method with the Talbot Equation approach. The calculation of the planned discharge is carried out using the Rational Method of 123.89 m3/second. The calculation of the channel dimensions is based on the Manning Equation, where the channel width is 1.5 m and the depth is 1 m. The width and depth of the planned channel is 1.5 m and the width is 1.5. Infiltration wells are planned at PT. X is a form of corporate responsibility in environmental management and implementation of environmentally sound development. The results of the calculation of the required infiltration wells are 17 units. The infiltration wells will be built scattered around the factory by taking into account the location and suitability of the factory building design. Rainwater from each factory building will be channeled through gutters to each of these infiltration wells.

Abstract

The Cimahi City has experienced a decrease in the quality of raw water caused by flooding in several places, especially during the rainy season, therefore it is necessary to anticipate this by constructing infiltration wells, ponds, or lakes. Cimahi City has 5 lakes, one of which is the Ciseupan Lake. This lake can be one of the options for raw water sources in Cimahi City. Based on this, it is necessary to identify the water quality and trophic status of the lake so that it can be utilized optimally by local residents. This research aims to describe the status of water quality and trophic status of the Ciseupan Lake by analyzing the parameters of pollutant sources. The method for determining the status of water quality is the Pollution Index based on Decree of the Ministry of Environment Number 115 of 2002 concerning “Pedoman Penentuan Status Mutu Air”. Quality status can be determined according to the pollutant index classification, the greater the value, then the worse the water quality. The method for determining trophic status uses the UNEP-ILEC method. Based on the results of calculating the water quality status, the pollutant index value at the Ciseupan Embung in 2021 is 9.5 while in 2022 it is 8.9 which according to Minister of Environment Decree Number 115 of 2003, in both years the water quality status of the lake was included in the moderately polluted category. The trophic status of the Ciseupan Lake is classified as hypertrophic, this indicates that the lake water has been heavily polluted by nutrients.

Abstract

Soil components consisting of solids, water and air are the main natural resources that greatly affect life. The ability of soil as a growing medium will be optimal if it is supported by physical, chemical and biological properties as an indicator that shows the level of soil fertility. Soil quality is the capacity of a soil in a field to provide the functions needed by humans or natural ecosystems for a long time. Soil quality can be measured based on soil quality indicators. The decrease in the ability of the soil to carry out its various functions indicates that the quality of the soil has been disturbed which has resulted in an increase in critical land, a decrease in soil productivity and environmental pollution. This study aims to analyze the soil quality in the Cianjur Regency. The data used in this study is secondary data from the Environmental Service of Cianjur Regency in 2019. Sampling was carried out in 6 sub-districts, namely Pacet, Sukaresmi, Cipanas, Cianjur, Cugenang and Karangtengah. Based on the results of field data analysis that has been obtained, there are several indicators that are assessed as critical thresholds that have been determined, namely, Fraction Composition, Porosity, Permeability and Redox Value. All sample locations were categorized as Slightly Damaged and there were various scoring scores ranging from 10 (highest score) and 4 (lowest score). Management can be done using several methods, namely mechanical, vegetative and chemical.
