Abstract

Inventory management in government agencies such as the Riau Islands Police is an important aspect to ensure effective and efficient asset recording and monitoring. Manual management often faces obstacles such as recording errors and potential asset loss. Therefore, a technology-based information system is needed that can improve efficiency and transparency. This study aims to design a Laravel-based inventory information system in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector of the Riau Islands Police. This system allows users to manage inventory digitally, including asset recording, borrowing, returning, and monitoring status in real time. The system development uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which accelerates the development process with an iterative approach. The results of the study show that the designed system is able to improve the efficiency of asset recording and monitoring, minimize data errors, and simplify the inventory audit and reporting process. With this system, it is expected to support the digitalization of administration in the Riau Islands Police environment and increase accountability in the management of technology assets.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has provided convenience in various aspects of life, including the management of activity agendas within organizations or companies. The Batam Center for Health Quarantine currently manages activity agendas manually using Canva, which is inefficient in terms of time, accuracy, and data management. This manual process often leads to delays in recording and delivering information, as well as difficulties in retrieving historical agenda data of the leadership. Therefore, a web-based information system is needed to facilitate the management of leadership activity agendas more effectively, structurally, and integratively. This research aims to design and develop a Leadership Activity Agenda Information System at the Batam Center for Health Quarantine using the Waterfall method. This method consists of several stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is expected to improve efficiency in planning, monitoring, and managing activity agendas, enabling leaders to access information more quickly and accurately. The research results indicate that the designed information system can assist in managing leadership activity agendas more effectively compared to the previous manual method. With this system, the administration of activity agendas at the Batam Center for Health Quarantine can run more optimally, support overall organizational performance, increase transparency, and accelerate strategic decision-making processes.

Abstract

Heart attacks are a leading cause of death worldwide, requiring quick and accurate first aid. However, workplace education on first aid for heart attacks remains limited. This study aims to design an educational medium using motion graphics to enhance employees’ understanding at Supply Base Harbour Energy Batam of first aid procedures for heart attacks. This research adopts the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. Theories on multimedia and visual-based education support this study. The input data were obtained from observations and interviews with company supervisors as primary data, while secondary data were collected from relevant literature. A qualitative research approach with descriptive analysis was employed, and the sample consisted of employees at Supply Base Harbour Energy Batam. The results, tested using the black box testing method, indicate that the developed motion graphic effectively conveys information clearly and engagingly, assisting employees in recalling and understanding first aid procedures. This research provides an innovative solution to enhance awareness and preparedness in handling emergencies, thereby reducing the risk of fatal outcomes from heart attacks in the workplace.
