Abstract

Dua sasaran Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) yaitu menurunnya angka kematian bayi dan menurunnya prevalensi gizi kurang pada anak balita. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencapai sasaran tersebut yaitu peningkatan pemberian ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan pengetahuan ibu nifas terhadap praktik pemberian ASI pada 3 bulan pertama dengan kartu kendali edukasi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperiment dengan desain one gruppretest – posttes with kontrol. Populasi adalah semua ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Wara Kota Palopo. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Sampel sebanyak 30 orang yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner diberikan kepada responden sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan Chisquare, Mannwhitney dan Friedman. Kartu kendali edukasi divalidasi oleh tiga tim ahli yaitu ahli konselor laktasi dan ahli kebidanan. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan pada Uji Friedman mendapatkan hasil signifikan (p=0,001) yang berarti terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah edukasi pada posttest 1, posttest 2 dan posttest 3 pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Serta pada uji Mann-withney diperoleh nilai (p=0,009) yaitu ada perbedaan bermakna antara kelompok yang menggunakan kartu kendali edukasi dengan yang tidak menggunakan kartu kendali edukasi terhadap pemberian ASI. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa kartu kendali edukasi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu nifas akan praktik Pemberian ASI.

Abstract

Stunting is an indicator of chronic nutritional problems that requires serious attention for the growth and development of children, especially toddlers. Low maternal knowledge about stunting prevention is one of the main risk factors that can worsen this condition. This research aimed to assess the impact of health education on enhancing mothers' knowledge about stunting prevention. The study took place in the Wara Public Health Center area, Palopo City, from May to June 2025, employing a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using one group and pretest-posttest measurements. A total of 57 participants were included as research subjects. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was utilized for analysis. The findings demonstrated a notable improvement in mothers' knowledge after the health education intervention, with most respondents falling into the category of having good knowledge. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value of less than 0.05, confirming that the health education significantly enhanced mothers' knowledge. These findings suggest that appropriate educational interventions can serve as an effective strategy in preventing stunting within the community. Therefore, strengthening health education programs, especially at the primary care level such as integrated health posts (posyandu), should be continuously optimized to enhance awareness and preventive behaviors among mothers.

Abstract

Pregnancy complications remain a major health problem contributing to high maternal morbidity and mortality rates in Indonesia. Factors influencing the occurrence of pregnancy complications include the level of maternal knowledge and advanced maternal age. Advanced age increases the risk of pregnancy disorders due to decreased reproductive function, while low knowledge limits a mother’s ability to recognize danger signs and take appropriate preventive measures. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge level and advanced maternal age and the occurrence of pregnancy complications in the working area of Bonebobakal Public Health Center, Banggai Regency. This study employed a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach involving 41 pregnant women selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge level and maternal age with the occurrence of pregnancy complications. Health education and regular pregnancy monitoring are necessary to reduce the risk of complications and improve maternal and fetal safety..
