Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to reduce maladaptive behavior in children with autism in class II SDN East Kelapa Gading 03, North Jakarta. The method used in this study is Single Subject Research method using A-B-A research design. Researchs provide treatment or intervention through the use of My Busy Book media to reduce the maladaptive behavior of the subject. Data collection was done through observation and recording of frequency of subjects maladaptive behavior at initial conditions (Baseline A1), condition of intervention (Intervention B), and condition of intervention elimination (Baseline A2). Data Analysis was performed by using visual analysis under conditions. The result showed that the frequency of occurence of maladaptive behavior was 100 times during the five sessions, the intervention phase was 70 timens during the eight sessions, and the intervention elimination phase was 68 times during the fives sessions. The explains that the us My Busy Book media can reduce maladaptive behavior in children with autism who became the subject of research as well as an alternative medium in the course of learning in reducing maladaptive behavior. Key Words : maladaptive behavior, media-assisted learning My Busy Book, children with autism Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku maladaptif pada anak autisme di SDN Kelapa Gading Timur 03, Jakarta Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian subjek tunggal dengan menggunakan desain penelitian A-B-A. Peneliti memberikan perlakuan atau intervensi melalui penggunaan media My Busy Book untuk mengurangi perilaku maladaptif subjek. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan dan pencatatan frekuensi terjadinya perilaku maladaptif subjek pada kondisi awal (Baseline A1), kondisi pemberian intervensi (Intervensi B), dan kondisi peniadaan intervensi (Baseline A2). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis visual dalam kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kondisi awal frekuensi terjadinya perilaku maladaptif sebanyak 100 kali selama 5 kali sesi pertemuan, tahap intervensi sebanyak 70 kali selama 8 sesi pertemuan, dan tahap peniadaan intervensi sebanyak 68 kali selama 5 sesi pertemuan. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa penggunaan media My Busy Book dapat mengurangi perilaku maladaptif pada anak autisme yang menjadi subjek penelitian serta menjadi media alternatif selama pembelajaran dalam mengurangi perilaku maladaptif.
