<![CDATA[Batik is like the identity of the city of Solo . Solo batik production is already exported to overseas . As a city synonymous with batik , Solo has some areas of batik production centers . In fact , Mr. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono launched on 2 October as the Day of Batik . Already twoyears ago as well , world recognized batik as an Indonesian property rights , in this case Mr President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is one of the stakeholders that the government is able to increase the Solo batik empowerment through recognition of Indonesian batik is the property of. Issues to be examined in this study were 1 ) how far the efforts made by stakeholders to develop in Surakarta batik 2 ) how empowering stakeholders to develop batik in Surakarta , in terms of the marketing aspect ? The objectives are 1 ) to know the efforts that have been done by the stakeholders for the development of Batik in Solo 2) to empower stakeholders in the marketing activities in Surakarta batik . This study uses qualitative pendkatan . location of the research was conducted in Surakarta . The population in this study was the Stakeholders , both primary stakeholders , secondary stakeholders, and key stakeholders . Snowball sampling with sampling , data sources obtainedfrom stakeholders , statistical data , literature , and informants with in-depth interviewing techniques , documentation and observation . Data analysis was performed interactively, following the concept given Miles & Huberman and Spradley .
