Abstract

Abstract. At the time of high school, students are at a time when they are looking for information about themselves and their talents or abilities that must be collected so that efforts can help high school students in preparing their dreams for the future. Students who are in this high school level have an average age of 15 to 18 years, which is the age of adolescence which has entered the stage of transitional development from childhood to adulthood. Being a high school teenager is expected to have understood his career potential and chose the right career goal. However, this can be difficult for high school students because at this time there are problems that require students to start making decisions to continue their studies. The researcher found a phenomenon where class XI students at SMAN 1 Lubuklinggau showed behavior where there was no willingness to seek information that could be used to determine decisions in choosing further studies and career choices. This is because these students do not yet have one of the factors that support high Career Maturity, namely Self-Efficacy. So the purpose of this study is to find out how much influence Self-Efficacy has on Career Maturity in class XI students at SMAN 1 Lubuklinggau Reference. The research method used is quantitative method with simple regression analysis technique with a sample of 130 students using simple random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was compiled by the researcher by deriving the theory of Self-Efficacy from Bandura (3) and Career Maturity from Super (24). The results showed that there was an effect of Self-Efficacy on Career Maturity, which was 0.446 or 44.6% and the rest was the influence of variables not examined. Abstrak. Abstract

Abstract. High academic demands during high school are aimed at enabling students to achieve good academic achievements to continue their education to the next level. Student Engagement is important to gain knowledge and skills provided by the school. Phenomena in students of SMA Alfa Centauri class XI describe student involvement in class such as your presence, attention, asking questions, and showing positive reactions during the learning process, but the researchers also found that some students did their own activities, such as being late at school, not paying attention to the teacher when teaching, is not active in the learning process and does not understand the material, causing his academic achievement to decline. The lack of student involvement is due to several factors, one of which is basic psychological needs. The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical data on how closely the relationship between Basic Psychological Needs and Student Engagement of class XI students of SMA Alfa Centauri Bandung is. The research data was obtained from the Student Engagement theory measuring instrument (Fredricks et al., 2004) which was distributed to 151 class XI students of SMA Alfa Centauri. This research uses correlational quantitative method and uses simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between Basic Psychological Needs and Student Engagement with a correlation coefficient of 0.665. This means that the higher the Basic Psychological Needs, the higher the Student Engagement. Abstrak. Tuntutan akademik yang tinggi pada masa SMA bertujuan agar siswa mampu mencapai prestasi akademik yang baik untuk melanjutkan jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Student Engagement adalah hal yang penting untuk mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diberikan oleh sekolah. Fenomena pada siswa SMA Alfa Centauri kelas XI menggambarkan student engagement di kelas seperti kehadiran, perhatian, bertanya, dan menunjukkan reaksi positif pada saat proses pembelajaran, namun peneliti menemukan juga sebagian siswa melakukan kegiatannya sendiri, seperti terlambat hadir sekolah, tidak memperhatikan guru saat mengajar, tidak aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan tidak memahami materi sehingga menyebabkan prestasi akademiknya menurun. Kurangnya engagement siswa dikarenakan beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah basic psychological needs. Tujuan dari penelitian ini memperoleh data empiris mengenai seberapa erat hubungan Basic Psychological Needs dengan Student Engagement siswa kelas XI SMA Alfa Centauri Bandung. Data penelitian diperoleh dari alat ukur teori Student Engagement (Fredricks et al., 2004) yang disebarkan kepada 151 siswa kelas XI SMA Alfa Centauri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data analisis menggunakan uji korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara Basic Psychological Needs dengan Student Engagement dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,665. Artinya semakin tinggi Basic Psychological Needs maka semakin tinggi pula Student Engagement.

Abstract

Abstract. Career decision making has an impact on human life, including adolescents. Career decision making in adolescents is influenced by internal and external factors. One of the internal factors in making career decisions is self-determination on aspects of basic psychological need. The phenomenon of class XI students majoring in accounting at SMK 11 Bandung shows that most students have not been able to make a decision because parents are still very instrumental in making their career decisions, where this affects the learning process of students at school even in the career plans that will be chosen. The purpose of this study was to determine the close relationship between Basic Psychological Need and Career Decision Making in class XI students majoring in Accounting at SMK 11 Bandung. This study uses the theory of Basic Psychological Need from Ryan & Deci (2017) and the theory of career decision making from Parsons (in Super 2010). This research uses quantitative research methods with correlational research methods. This study involved 101 students majoring in accounting with data collection using a questionnaire. The results of data analysis using Spearman rank correlation test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship (correlation) between Basic Psychological Need and Career Decision Making in class XI students majoring in accounting at SMK 11 Bandung with a correlation value of 0.795. That is, the higher the basic psychological need, the higher the career decision making. Abstrak. Pengambilan keputusan karir memberikan pengaruh bagi kehidupan manusia termasuk pada remaja. Pengambilan keputusan karir pada remaja dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan ekternal. Salah satu fakor internal dalam pengambilan keputusan karir adalah self determination pada aspek basic psychological need. Fenomena pada siswa kelas XI jurusan akuntansi SMK 11 Bandung menunjukan bahwa kebanyakan siswa belum mampu dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan karena dalam orang tua masih sangat berperan dalam pengambilan keputusan karir mereka, dimana hal ini mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran siswa disekolah bahkan dalam rencana karir yang akan dipilih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan antara Basic Psychological Need dengan Pengambilan Keputusan Karir pada siswa kelas XI jurusan Akuntansi SMK 11 Bandung. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori Basic Psychological Need dari Ryan & Deci (2017) dan teori pengambilan keputusan karir dari Parsons (dalam Super 2010). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 101 siswa jurusan akuntansi dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan (korelasi) antara Basic Psychological Need dengan Pengambilan Keputusan Karir pada siswa kelas XI jurusan akuntansi SMK 11 Bandung dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,795. Artinya, semakin tinggi basic psychological need maka semakin tinggi pula pengambilan keputusan karir.
