Abstract

Improvements have been made to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic through GMeet due to restrictions on crowding and maintaining distance between students, while learning must continue. This study aims to improve student learning activities and problem-solving abilities. Improvement of learning through classroom action research. Data were analyzed descriptively. The instruments are in the form of a Problem Solving Ability Test sheet and an Observation Sheet. The results of improving the use of GMeet learning in group discussions which in its implementation combined with WhatsApp and Google forms can improve student learning activities and problem-solving abilities. The increase in student learning activities in the first cycle, the percentage of student activity was 66% in sufficient criteria to 80% in good criteria in the second cycle. This shows that the percentage of student activity has increased and has reached the predetermined indicators of success. This increase in problem-solving ability can be seen in the average class value and the increase in the percentage of completeness after being given treatment. In the first cycle, the average value is 65 with a percentage of 65%, the and second cycle is an average of 80.25 with a percentage of 80%.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the inquiry learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is a literature study using articles related to the influence of the inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills. Method: The method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. The data source used in this study is secondary data, namely articles that have been published. These articles were sourced from Google Scholar, Open Access Journal, sinta indexed journals, and national university websites between 2012 and 2022. Eight journals were suitable for research on critical thinking skills and inquiry. Results: The result of this study is that it is known that the inquiry learning model has a significant influence on improving students' critical thinking skills. There is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students who use the inquiry learning model and those who are taught with the non-inquiry learning model. Novelty: The guided inquiry learning model has proven to be effectively applied to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this school action research is to improve the ability of school principals to carry out academic supervision through managerial supervision with a collaborative approach. This research was conducted at Foster Vocational Schools in Bojonegoro Regency. The school is a school fostered by researchers who serve as supervisors. The subjects in this study were six principals of vocational school Taruna Mandiri Ngasem, vocational school Association of Teachers of the Republic of Indonesia 3 Bojonegoro, vocational school Al Kyai Sukosewu, vocational school Wali Songo Sugihawaras, vocational school Muhammadiyah 6 Kedungadem, and vocational school Miftahul Huda Baureno. This research was carried out for two months. Method: A collaborative approach with monitoring and evaluation, and workshops is an activation process that will be aimed at finding out whether the development of the implementation of this program, whether it is by plans, procedures, or standards that have been set and assess the level of achievement and effectiveness of the program that has been implemented. Results: the managerial supervision of the collaborative approach can improve principals' performance abilities in carrying out academic supervision. The results achieved in cycle 1 averaged 75.38, and cycle 2 achieved an average score of 92.42 according to the researcher's target, namely the average score of 80 and above. With the increased performance of school principals in academic supervision, all supervised teachers experience direct positive benefits from academic supervision. Novelty: Teachers feel that implementing learning in schools becomes more qualified, effective, and efficient.
