<![CDATA[The problem of rubbish, especially plastic waste, is a problem that has been sought for a solution for a long time now. Because this problem has a significant impact if left to affect various areas of life such as health, environment, and economy, the problem of plastic waste must receive special attention from the government in each region. This research aims to analyze the regulations in some regions related to reducing plastic waste and provide input and ideas regarding this matter. This research uses normative methods. The results of our research show that there are still many regional governments that have not made regulations regarding the reduction of plastic waste. In addition, the regional governments that have made regulations regarding the reduction of plastic waste are not optimal yet, so the problem of plastic waste is unaccomplished optimally.Keywords: Local Regulation; Plastic waste; Preservation of the environment; Permasalahan sampah, terutama sampah plastik merupakan masalah yang sejak dahulu masih terus dicari jalan keluarnya hingga sekarang. Karena masalah ini memiliki dampak besar yang apabila dibiarkan akan memengaruhi berbagai bidang kehidupan seperti, kesehatan, lingkungan, dan ekonomi. Persoalan sampah plastik ini perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus dari pemerintah di masing-masing daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis regulasi di beberapa daerah berkaitan dengan pengurangan sampah plastik sekaligus memberikan masukan dan ide berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum yuridis normatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak pemerintah daerah yang belum membuat regulasi terkait pengurangan sampah plastik. Selain itu, pemerintah daerah yang telah membuat regulasi mengenai pengurangan sampah plastik masih belum optimal sehingga permasalahan sampah plastik belum terselesaikan secara optimal.Kata Kunci: Pelestarian Lingkungan; Regulasi Daerah; Sampah Plastik;]]>
