Abstract

Fever is a state of body temperature that is higher than normal, which is more than 38 degrees Celsius, which is caused by body conditions that create more heat than can be expelled. This study was conducted to determine the mother's knowledge about handling fever in toddlers in Sihonongan village, Paranginan sub-district in 2022. The type of research used was a descriptive design. The method used is a total sampling method, totaling 95 respondents. Mothers who have children under five who have experienced fever. The instrument of data collection was using a questionnaire containing 10 questions. Based on the results of the study, the respondents' knowledge based on the mother's knowledge was mostly (86.3%) who had good knowledge, who had sufficient knowledge (13.7). based on the mother's knowledge can be categorized as good. and it is recommended for health workers to maintain health education or education and counseling about handling fever in toddlers.
