Abstract

This research is conducted to evaluate the potential of bankruptcy related to cafes and restaurant in Malang city by applying Zmijewski method. The sampling method is using non-probability and also criteria sampling. The criteria of sampling method is cafes and restaurants that have been running for three years, owned the legal permit, and having the last three years financial reports, and the owner has agreed to permit the research. The X-Score resulted from seven cafes and restaurants that have been evaluated are under zero, which means they are financially healthy. However, there is a cafe and restaurant that has the probability of facing bankruptcy, but the score is still under the cut off value. The most contributing variable to be the cause of bankruptcy is the return on assets. Cafes and restaurants in Malang city will always be in a financially healthy condition if they have the ability to manage their assets and produce more profits.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the comparisons between credit's effective interest rate on Honda and Yamaha motorcycles based on the level of down payment and credit tenures during 2016. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques used was comparative analysis proposed by Nazir (2005) in Hamdi and Bachruddin (2014) which explain that the purpose of the comparative analysis investigates the relationship between one variable to another variable in order to find a comparison between two or more variables in a research. The results showed that the value average of the effective interest rate on Honda motorcycle was lower than Yamaha motorcycle. Based on the level of down payment and credit tenures; the lowest average of effective interest rate was at a level of 17,5 % from motorcycle the on the road price with credit tenures for 36 months.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial distress condition of such service company by employing the method of Altman and Zmijewski as well as comparing the analysis result using both methods. This is a descriptive quantitative study with the sampling technique of purposive sampling. The number of samples of this study is 4 shipping service companies listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange since 2010, such as PT. SAMIN, PT. BLT, PT. MitrabahteraSegaraSejatiTbk (PT. MBSS) dan PT. Wintermar Offshore Marine Tbk (PT. WOM). The data are analyzed using Altman and Zmijewski method. The result indicates that out of four service companies: PT. MBSS is the most financially stable company, while PT. BLT is the company with the worst condition of financial distress condition. The use of both methods also produces results which are not different; what is different is only in terms of the assessment standards. It is advisable to predict financial distress in shipping companies using more than one method for every method employs different standard just to confirm the result.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the macroeconomic effects seen from the exchange rate, inflation, and purchasing power to lending channeled by conventional banks. By this research is quantitative research with research type which used is causal research. The sampling in this study using purposive sampling method and found that the sample of this study is Bank BUKU 4. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results from the results of this study are when viewed partially, there are two variables that are not significant to the dependent variable, the exchange rate and inflation variables have a negative relationship toward the amount of loan disbursement and not significant. This applies to policies that the government and BI set to maintain the stability of the country's economic system. As for the variable purchasing power has a significant influence and has a negative relationship with the amount of loan disbursement. From the results of this study is expected to continue to maintain the macroeconomic situation in Indonesia in order to increase the growth of lending and the importance of supervision from the government to maintain the stability of macroeconomic conditions in Indonesia
