Abstract

The Academic Information System Website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar is one of the website-based services on the internet owned by STMIK Kharisma Makassar which provides services for students such as purchasing Study Plan Cards (KRS), knowing the Semester Achievement Index (IPS), and registering payments. The Academic Information System Website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar has been implemented since 2017, but during its implementation there has been no benchmark to determine the level of satisfaction and usability of the system so that this study aims to analyze the usability of the Kharisma Makassar Academic Information System Website using the USE Questionnaire method in order to help the campus service process become better and become a basis for development. The USE Questionnaire method has 4 parameters, namely usefulness, easy of use, easy of learning, and satisfaction. Based on the results of the study, on the 3 features analyzed, the KRS selection feature gets a percentage of 72.13%, while the IPS graph feature is 70.91% and the payment registration feature is 70.41%. Based on the results of the average usability measurement of the 3 features, the results of the usability measurement of the Academic Information System website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar are 71.21% with a usability feasibility category that is feasible.

Abstract

The fashion and garment industry is growing rapidly, making individuals' needs for appropriate clothing continue to increase. Jahitku is a web-based platform created so that tailors can reach more customers, provide good service, and customers get information according to their needs at affordable prices and high quality. However, Jahitku has problems in optimizing the relevant website, inconsistent layout, button navigation that doesn't work, and using colors that lack contrast. The aim of this research is to redesign the Jahitku website to achieve better user satisfaction. In this research, by applying the Design Thinking method, existing functions are analyzed and their usefulness is tested on the System Usability Scale (SUS). Making a prototype using the Design Thinking method produced significant recommendations through SUS testing, resulting in a final test score of 78.775. This score has increased compared to the previous score of 48.125 which was still in the low category. This improvement shows a significant improvement in user experience from “Poor” to “Good”. Thus, it can be concluded that by updating the appearance of the Jahitku website, the user experience can be improved and the Jahitku website can become more effective and attractive to users.

Abstract

Mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression are increasingly experienced by university students, yet access to counseling services remains limited due to social stigma, low mental health literacy, and a shortage of counselors. Restricted service hours and concerns over data confidentiality further reduce the utilization of available services. A similar situation occurs at STMIK Kharisma Makassar, where the counseling unit has not been optimally utilized and its role in supporting students mental health has not been fully effective. This study developed Vikha (Virtual Konseling Kharisma), a WhatsApp-based virtual counseling chatbot designed to provide initial psychological support with empathy. Vikha is powered by OpenAI GPT-4 and applies prompt engineering techniques with four types of prompting: Behavior, Knowledge, Follow-up, and Scheduling. Prototype testing demonstrated that Vikha performed according to its design by delivering empathetic and informative responses. Final evaluation was validated by campus psychologists using scenarios representing common student problems to assess response accuracy, relevance of suggestions, and conversation follow-up. The results confirmed that Vikha is feasible, reliable, and ready to support initial counseling services at STMIK Kharisma Makassar, potentially improving access to and effectiveness of mental health services on campus.
