Abstract

Nutrition still become major issues in Indonesia, one which is stunting. Stunting occurs due to lack of nutritional intake in toddlers, especially during the first 1000 days of life (HPK). As an effort to prevent stunting, it is necessary to address its factors, one of which is maternal parenting. This research sought to provide an overview regarding maternal parenting with the incidence of stunting toddlers aged 24-59 months in Kampung Tua, Tanjung Piayu Laut village Batam City. This qualitative research employed a descriptive method, involving 30 mothers who had stunting toddlers aged 24-59 months in KampungTua, Tanjung Piayu Laut. The measuring instrument used in this research was a questionnaire on maternal parenting, filled out directly by mothers who had stunting toddlers. The data analysis was carried out univariately to find out how description of mother’s parenting for stunting toddlers. The results showed that mothers with feeding practices in the good category were 14 people (46.7%), psychosocial stimulation in the good category were 24 people (80%), hygiene practices were in the good category as many as 27 people (90%) and environmental sanitation in the good category as many as 14 people (46.7%). Therefore, it can be concluded that of the four indicator of maternal parenting, feeding practices and environmental sanitation are still in the poor category.

Abstract

The purpose of this health education activity is to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behavior about the importance of giving vitamin A capsules to toddlers in order to prevent vitamin A deficiency. The Community Service method used in the activity is to socialize in the form of counseling about the importance of giving vitamin A capsules to toddlers. . Participants in the health education activities were 18 mothers of children under five. After the health education activity was carried out, an evaluation was carried out with the results that the participants who attended were able to know and understand the material presented, it was proven that the participants were enthusiastic about asking about the importance of giving vitamin A capsules to toddlers. The result of this health education activity is an increase in the level of knowledge, behavior and enthusiasm of mothers or participants by participating in health education activities about the importance of giving vitamin A capsules to toddlers. This can be seen from the results of the post test that has been carried out, the results are that participants who have a good level of knowledge are fourteen of the eighteen participants. Abstract

Immunization comes from the word immune, which means immune or resistant. Immunization is a process when an individual's immune system is strengthened to fight an infectious agent. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the completeness of basic immunization for children during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach, the population in this study were all mothers or caregivers who had children aged 9-12 months and the sample of this study was 28 people with sampling using the Slovin formula. Based on the statistical test of the relationship between knowledge and completeness of immunization, p-value 0.002, meaning that there is a relationship between knowledge and completeness of immunization. statistical relationship between employment and completeness of immunization obtained p-value of 0.055, which means that there is no relationship between occupation and completeness of immunization. There is a relationship between family income and completeness of immunization.
