Abstract

The actualization of the essence of local wisdom as well as marsisarian has experienced a shift in function by the presence of various Western concepts due to globalization in realizing religious moderation. The purpose of this study is to describe the essence and existence of local wisdom in Tarutung City, namely marsisarian as a preventive measure as well as a discourse in seeking social harmony that can overcome conflicts amidst differences. Using the descriptive qualitative research method and the concept of individual interaction from Martin Buber as an analytical tool, this article closes with the construction of the marsisarian as the basis for religious moderation. This study shows the results, that religious moderation can be achieved in Tarutung City is the actualization of local wisdom, marsisarian which is able to suppress the rise of single narratives. Local wisdom that exists in Indonesia must be used as a basis for creating harmony because it is a social wealth that contains moral, ethical and spiritual messages.

Abstract

This article aims to present and offer a new mission model to renew the traditional mission known as plantation ecclesia or planting the Church amid non-Christian nations. This reality is created from the concept of the mission brought and carried out by the West in colonial territories. , known for its history of colonial expansion, which is understood as the subjugation of adherents of other religions to Christianity. This problem is the basis for the author to carry out a conceptual reconstruction of the mission through consideration of the plural Indonesian context. By setting aside a prescriptive attitude, the mission must be understood as a vocation for everyone to be a model for the world, in other words, to be present and live in the world as it is. It uses descriptive qualitative research methods and narrative analysis of Isaiah 42:1-9. This article closes with the conceptual construction of the mission so that the results show that passive missions can be an alternative. As a result, the mission is not only limited to spreading the faith that is outwardly or centrifugally centered but becomes an inward or centripetal-directed activity, citing A de Kuyper's thoughts. So from an active mission that focuses on finding people or expansive, it transforms into a passive mission that turns inward and rethinks how to get others to come.

Abstract

Interreligious relations become an integral part of the discourse of social parity. The creation of harmony between individuals and groups is very important to review, given that human existence is filled with dynamic aspects, such as culture, situation, and context. This study aims to describe and examine the essence of the existence of Parsahutaon social associations in building social solidarity between religious people in Tarutung City, North Sumatra. A descriptive qualitative methodology was utilized in this research, with literature review serving as the primary data collection technique. The results showed that a prosocial essence was present in the Parsahutaon community. First, it becomes the foundation for realizing compliance in the midst of plurality. Second, the means of implementation in the construction of social solidarity amidst the diversity of faith traditions in the city of Tarutung.Relasi antar umat beragama menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari wacana paritas sosial. Terciptanya harmoni antar individu dengan kelompok sangat penting untuk dikaji ulang, mengingat bahwa eksistensi manusia dipenuhi dengan aspek dinamis, seperti: budaya, situasi dan konteks. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menelisik esensi dari keberadaan asosiasi sosial Parsahutaon dalam membangun solidaritas sosial antar umat beragama di Kota Tarutung, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, komunitas Parsahutaon memuat esensi yang prososial.  Pertama, menjadi basis terwujudnya konformitas di tengah pluralitas. Kedua, sarana sarana aplikatif dalam membangun solidaritas sosial di tengah keberagaman tradisi iman di Kota Tarutung.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menawarkan esensi dekoratif yang terkandung dalam Alkitab sebagai wacana aktualisasi perdamaian antar umat beragama di Indonesia. Dengan dasar bahwa kitab keagamaan khususnya Alkitab merupakan kumpulan tulisan yang diterima, diakui dan digunakan dalam suatu masyarakat beragama sebagai sesuatu yang suci sekaligus berwibawa. Muatan yang terkandung di dalamnya menginisiasi setiap pembaca untuk melakukan berbagai corak tindakan dimulai pada tataran konstruktif hingga destruktif. Kedua hal tersebut penulis sadari mengarah pada nilai-nilai afirmatif dalam kehidupan sosial. Tesis dalam tulisan ini ialah penggunaan kitab keagamaan pada aras individu maupun tubuh sosial tidak dipahami sebagai wacana justifikasi ketegangan atau terselenggaranya konflik. Namun, sebaliknya untuk mengubah realitas ke arah positif atau mewujudkan berbagai tindakan yang sifatnya prososial. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kepustakaan. Data akan diperoleh melalui berbagai hasil penelitian, jurnal, dokumen, buku dan informasi lain yang layak digunakan. Melalui kesadaran betapa pentingnya perdamaian dalam kehidupan sosial yang termuat pada setiap kitab keagamaan kiranya memvalidasi setiap tokoh agama maupun umat beragama untuk mempengaruhi struktur sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa esensi afirmatif dan prososial yang ada dalam Alkitab harus diwujudkan dan menjadi common values untuk mengejawantahkan konformitas di tengah pluralitas.
