Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to find out the implementation of Babari culture in the people of Balohang village, Lede sub-district. (2) Knowing the values contained in the implementation of Babari culture in the Balohang village community, Lede sub-district. (3) Knowing the solution to the changes that occur in the practice of Babari culture in the people of Balohang Village, Lede District. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects were village heads, community leaders, traditional leaders, and the community. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions.Based on the results of the study that (1) the role of indigenous peoples in maintaining the local cultural values of Babari which has become a hereditary habit of the Balohang village community has been weakened, this can be proven in the activities of indigenous peoples that are not in accordance with the basic spirit of the Babari local culture itself. cultural influence of outsiders (immigrants). (2) the factors that influence changes in the local cultural values of Babari in the Balohang village community, namely the social relations of the people in Balohang Village who are very gracious in accepting every culture that enters from outside their social environment so that they quickly shift the local Babari culture of the indigenous people themselves. (3) Solutions to deal with changes in practice that occur in the Babari culture in Balohang Village by trying to re-socialize the Babari local culture to the younger generation so that the cultural heritage is preserved. Keywords: Babari Culture, Village Community
