Abstract

Banyak orang Kristen masa kini yang belum sepenuhnya mengutamakan Yesus Kristus untuk berdaulat di dalam hidup mereka. Maka pemberitaan tentang supremasi Kristus dalam Kolose 1:15-20 menjadi penting. Tujuan artikel ini mengupas pentingnya orang Kristen mengutamakan Kristus di dalam kehidupannya. Keyakinan dasar ini menjadi pendorong baginya untuk menolak ajaran yang menyanggah keutuhan Kristus. Diskusi ini menggunakan studi tekstual. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa finalitas Kristus sudah cukup bagi iman Kristen. Tidak diperlukan lagi ajaran tambahan guna menyempurnakan iman Kristen. Orang Kristen sejati senantiasa bersandar penuh kepada Kristus dan menolak ajaran yang menyimpang dari kebenaran Injil seperti ajaran gnostik. Orang Kristen yang mengakui otoritas Kristus atas hidupnya akan memotivasinya dalam meresponi firman-Nya, membangun devosi pribadi agar bertumbuh menjadi dewasa dalam imannya dan hanya mengutamakan Kristus di dalam hidupnya.Many Christians today have not fully prioritized Jesus Christ to be sovereign in their lives. So the preaching of the supremacy of Christ in Colossians 1:15-20 becomes important. The purpose of this article explores the importance of Christians putting Christ first in their lives. This basic belief became the impetus for him to reject the teachings that refute the wholeness of Christ. This discussion uses textual studies. The results show that the finality of Christ is sufficient for the Christian faith. There is no need for additional teachings to perfect the Christian faith. True Christians always rely fully on Christ and reject teachings that deviate from the truth of the Bible such as the gnostics. Christians who recognize Christ's authority over their lives will motivate them to respond to His words, build personal devotion to grow to maturity in their faith and only put Christ first in their lives.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to highlight God's patience with Job. That even though God was misunderstood by both Job and his friends, God still showed his unwavering image-as a long-patient and loving figure. That’s way I’m interested to explore God's patience to respond to Job's complaints towards God. At first, God seems withdrawn Himself from his life. After studied Jobs’ text, I learn that God's patience towards Job from his story shouldn’t be missed, we need to studying more specifically. From Job, we as God’s followers able to truly understand God's patience with Job then this precious truth becomes a strength to hold on to when we are facing hardship in this life. When Job places the sovereign of God between himself and the trials so he was protected from outside attacks through the arguments of his three egocentric companions who tend to accuse and judgemental over Job. From Job's narrative of his suffering, it appears that although his life is so threatening, God never breaks in His promise exactly the same as what he believes about God's faithfulness. God is righteous, patient, and full of affection to Job in every season he faces. God is Yahweh in charge of restoring Jobs' life, and that He is also God sovereign over His people all the time.

Abstract

The problem studied in this article relates to the challenges and needs of Christ's workers to reap the yellowing fields. Remembering that the world as a field belonging to God is always short of workers. The response of church members to the challenges and needs allows the field to be reaped. The purpose of this article is to discuss the role of Christ workers in carrying out the Great Commission. The method used in this article is the hermeneutic method. The results show that the Christ worker is someone who surrenders and is actively involved in preaching the Gospel. Practically, he preaches the gospel, guides the people he serves to grow spiritually. In this case he is also known as a person who trains others to do the same task in carrying out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem of this article is the importance of recognizing the uniqueness of Christ in Stephen Tong's preaching. As a national Christian intellectual figure, Tong has traveled all over the world preaching the uniqueness of the Christ he believes in. For him, many Christians need true teaching about Christ. The purpose of this discussion leads to a description of Tong's main ideas about the uniqueness of Christ. The method used in this study is phenomenal. The result shows that Tong's thoughts about the uniqueness of Christ are firmly rooted in reformed theology. That belief became the basis for him to preach the uniqueness of Christ. Christ is God who became human to save sinners. The impact of Tong's ministry has blessed Christians, educated church members to discover the wonders of Christ and live a spiritually mature faith. In conclusion, Tong's preaching adheres to the Bible's message about the work and life of Christ. Abstrak: Problem dari artikel ini pentingnya mengenali keunikan Kristus dalam pemberitaan Stephen Tong. Sebagai tokoh intelektual Kristen nasional, Tong telah berkeliling ke berbagai penjuru dunia guna memberitakan keunikan Kristus yang diimaninya. Baginya, banyak orang Kristen membutuhkan pengajaran yang benar tentang Kristus. Tujuan pembahasan ini mengarah pada deskripsi pokok-pokok pemikiran Tong tentang keunikan Kristus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomenalogis. Hasilnya, menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran Tong tentang keunikan Kristus mengakar kuat pada teologi reformed. Keyakinan itu menjadi dasar baginya untuk memberitakan keunikan Kristus. Kristus itu adalah Allah yang menjadi manusia demi menyelamatkan orang berdosa. Dampak dari pelayanan Tong telah memberkati orang Kristen, mendidik warga gereja untuk menemukan keajaiban Kristus dan menjalani iman yang dewasa secara rohani. Kesimpulannya, pemberitaan Tong patuh pada berita Alkitab tentang karya dan kehidupan Kristus.

Abstract

This article presents the problem that teenagers who have not yet been won to Christ are very vulnerable to being influenced by postmodernist thinking. Considering they do not have a solid foundation of faith in Christ. The anticipation is that parents must take the initiative to introduce Jesus to them. The method used in this research is a survey in the form of a questionnaire. The results show that 26 students (65%) out of 40 Christian students at a high school in Bandung City do not yet have a close relationship with Christ. Meanwhile, 14 students (35%) stated that they had experienced new life and had faith in Jesus. This data reflects the attitude of parents who do not fully prioritize spiritual needs in their family. These teenagers are in the midst of a period of panca roba or doubt and are easily influenced by deviant teachings. The challenges faced by spiritual coaches at school are the same as those faced by their parents. The challenge arises to serve and develop them to know Christ personally. In conclusion, winning teenagers to Christ is a priority for parents to anticipate the influence of modernist thinking on them.

Abstract

The importance of this article is about Polycarp's inner peace that was a support for him from the fire of man-made suffering. Terrible persecution or torment had driven him to lean more and more on Christ, his Lord, becoming the martyr of the ancient church. The purpose of the research was to explain Polycarp's attitude and stance in the face of his martyrdom. The method used in the research is a literature study. The results show that Polycarp's life lived and inherited the philosophical values of courage and steadfastness of faith. The spiritual transformation he underwent inherited the philosophical value of how true Christians deal with suffering and fit. This Apostolic Father is an example of profound character transformation and provides an ethical foundation for the next generation of Christians in facing various challenges. In conclusion, the life and faithfulness and faithfulness in Christ internalized in the life of Polycarp can be a reflection of faith for believers of all ages.
