Abstract

The low level of mathematical ability in learning is important to note. Therefore, improving mathematics ability through self-esteem is needed using the PMRI approach. One of the personality factors that influences student learning outcomes is self-esteem. The method used in this research is the experimental method with quasi-experiments emu, which is Posttest Only Control Design. The research is carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the data analysis results, the conclusion was That the PMRI approach influences the ability of mathematical reasoning and self-esteem of students of grade V SD Negeri 143 Palembang. There is a correlation between the ability to reason mathematically and the self-esteem of students of class VSD Negeri 143.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai apakah terdapat dampak dari penerapan Media Realia Berbasis Lingkungan terhadap Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis dan Harga Diri di SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Makmur. Metode riset yang diterapkan adalah metode yang digunakan dalam riset ini yaitu kuantitatif yang true eksperimen dengan menggunakan bentuk desain Posttest Only Control Group Design. Dalam rancangan metode penelitian true eksperimen “Posttest Only Control Group Design” ini dipakai satu golongan. Populasi yang diambil adalah seluruh siswa dengan jumlah 260 orang. Sampel terdiri dari kelas IIIA sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan 20 siswa yang menerapkan pendekatan eksperimen, dan kelas IIIB sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan 19 siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan konvensional. Metode pengumpulan sampel menggunakan metode cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes untuk mengevaluasi kecakapan sambungan matematika. Manova digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: 1. Ada konsekuensi besar dari pemanfaatan media realia yang berfokus pada lingkungan terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis dan harga diri di SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Makmur. 2. Terdapat perbedaan dalam hasil belajar berdasarkan kemampuan koneksi matematis dan harga diri siswa dalam materi bangun datar di SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Makmur.
