Abstract

Pendidikan sangat penting bagi setiap generasi, terutama generasi muda. Namun, masalah terbesar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia adalah kurangnya kreativitas dalam metode dan media pengajaran, yang membuat siswa jenuh mengikuti proses belajar mengajar di kelas dan merasa sudah paham dengan materi yang diberikan. SMK AL-AZHAR Batam merupakan lembaga pendidikan swasta yang dikelola oleh Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al-Azhar Batam. Proses pengajaran materi yang masih dilakukan secara manual oleh guru SMK Al-Azhar Batam yaitu dengan menjelaskan dan menerangkan isi dari buku secara monoton. Dalam laporan ini penulis akan menjalankan kerja praktek di sekolah SMK Al-Azhar Batam dalam membuat media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMK. Media akan dikemas dalam sebuah video media pembelajaran. Media Pembelajaran tersebut akan dikembangkan dengan metode MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle). Media Pembelajaran tersebut akan diimplementasi pada sekolah proses ajar-mengajar di sekolah SMK Al-Azhar

Abstract

Culture is people's reflection, hard work, and wisdom to navigate their world, namely a culture that allows people to see their environment in a meaningful way. Indonesia has diverse cultures, one of which is traditional Chinese culture. Over time, the Chinese culture in Indonesia has gradually faded to this day. This study aims to develop a 2D animated video to introduce Chinese tradition and culture as the identity of Chinese people in Indonesia, especially Gen Z children. Using a research and development approach and testing the EPIC model's effectiveness. The research conducted included interviews with several Mandarin teachers and students studying in China. The development phase uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) model and continues with quantitative research using the EPIC model. These search results are 2D animated videos posted on YouTube that last 3 minutes and 35 seconds. The EPIC model's quantitative demonstrate how 2D animated videos effectively introduce culture to younger members of Generation Z. Empathy, persuasion, influence, and communication values all show this. The mean of the EPIC ratio is 4.16. The persuasion and communication dimension got the highest score compared to other dimensions at 4.26.

Abstract

Education is very important for every generation, especially the younger generation. However, the biggest obstacle in learning Indonesian is the lack of creativity in learning methods and media, which makes students bored with following the teaching and learning process in class and feel they have understood the material given. SMK AL-AZHAR Batam is a private educational institution managed by the Al-Azhar Batam Islamic Education Foundation. The learning process of teaching materials which is still done manually by the teachers of SMK Al-Azhar Batam is by explaining and explaining contents of the book in a monotonous manner. In this report, the author will carry out practical work at the SMK Al-Azhar Batam School in making Indonesian language learning media at the SMK level. The media will be package in a video learning media. Learning Media will be developt using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method. The Learning Media will be implemented in the teaching and learning process in schools at Al-Azhar Vocational School
