Abstract

The Covid-19 virus can be overcome by increasing the body's resistance. One of the efforts to increase endurance is by utilizing family medicinal plants which generally grow more as wild plants in the yard and are widely used as an additional ingredient in cooking but are also widely used for healing, disease prevention, increasing endurance, and restoration of freshness which in turn improves public health. Knowledge and public response about the use of medicinal plants is still limited. Seeing the response of one group of women in the South Fakfak Village who has family medicinal plants, it is deemed necessary to do community service regarding the management of the family medicinal plants. The approach method uses community empowerment methods, especially target groups through counseling and training carried out by distributing pocket books on the use of family medicinal plants to 50 mothers and cadres in South Fakfak Village. The results of this activity show that in general, the knowledge of mothers and health cadres in South Fakfak Village has increased after providing counseling and training with pocket book media. This is evidenced by the answer scores, where the average post-test score is 86.20 and is higher than the pre-test score of 72.3. The percentage increase in knowledge increased by 14.17%. The results of community service by means of counseling and training by giving pocket books can increase the knowledge of mothers and cadres in increasing family endurance. Suggestions to the PKK Kelurahan to hold a family medicinal plant competition at the kelurahan level, form a small group of traditional herbal medicine businesses.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tepung biji durian mengandung tinggi  alkaloid, kadar serat air dan karbohidrat serta  rendah terpenoid. Saat ini pemanfaatan biji durian sudah mulai banyak dilakukan baik berupa tepung maupun  olahan makanan lain. Berdasarkan beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tepung biji durian dapat di gunakan sebagai alternatif bahan pangan. Hal ini juga sangat membantu dalam pengurangan limbah sampah yang dapat mengganggu kualitas dan kesehatan pada lingkungan sekitar. Untuk mengajarkan dan mengenalkan pemanfaatan biji buah durian kepada masyarakat. Menggunakan metode pelatihan.  Peserta yang ikut kegiatan sebanyak 60 orang, setelah mengikuti kegiatan 100% peserta mengetahui cara pemanfaatan tepung biji durian.    Masyarakat telah mengenal cara  pemanfaatan biji buah durian sebagai  bahan dasar pangan local. Kata Kunci: Pangan Local, Pengelolaan Limbah, Ketrampilan Masyarakat  ABSTRACT Durian seed flour contains high alkaloids, low levels of water and carbohydrate fiber and terpenoids. Currently, the use of durian seeds has begun to be widely used, both in the form of flour and other processed foods. Based on several research results indicate that durian seed flour can be used as an alternative food ingredient. This is also very helpful in dealing with waste that can interfere with the quality and health of the surrounding environment. The aim is to prohibit and introduce the use of durian fruit seeds to the public. This community service activity uses the training method. Results: 60 participants took part in the activity, after participating in the activity 100% of the participants knew how to use durian seed flour. Conclusion: the community is familiar with how to use durian fruit seeds as a basic ingredient for local food.  Keywords: Local Food, Waste Management, Community Skills
