Abstract

Now, few students are able to master Arabic, even though it is only in written and reading form. So it requires the right methods and media. Researchers found several problems experienced by students, namely the lack of vocabulary mastery as well as the use of passive learning methods and media which caused a monotonous learning system. Under these conditions, the researcher uses an active learning strategy with the card short model to be able to break passive learning into active learning. The purpose of the study was to describe the application of Shord card media and find the results of mastering Arabic vocabulary. Using descriptive qualitative methods, types of field research, technical data analysis using data reduction, and the validity of the data is triangulation. The results with the short media card, students can take part in learning activities well and feel not bored in class, and can memorize vocabulary given by the teacher and then apply it to a reading, are also able to participate actively in learning activities. So the more precise the use of learning media, the better the final results obtained. Keywords: Active learning, Media card short, Mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Abstrak Kini mulai sedikit siswa yang mampu menguasai bahasa Arab, meskipun dalam bentuk tulisan dan bacaannya saja. Maka memerlukan metode dan media yang tepat. Peneliti menemukan beberapa masalah yang dialami siswa yaitu kurangnya menguasai kosa kata juga penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran pasif yang menimbulkan sistem pembelajaran monoton. Dengan kondisi seperti ini peneliti menggunakan strategi active learning model Shord card untuk dapat memecahkan pembelajaran pasif menjadi pembelajaran aktif. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media Shord card dan menemukan hasil penguasaan kosa kata bahasa arab. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, jenis penelitian lapangan, teknis analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, dan keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi. Hasil dengan adanya media card short peserta didik dapat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dengan baik dan merasa tidak bosan didalam kelas, dan dapat menghafal kosa kata yang diberikan guru kemudian mengaplikasikan pada sebuah bacaan, juga mampu berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan belajar. Maka semakin tepat dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran semakin baik juga hasil akhir yang diperoleh. Kata kunci: Media Shord card, Penguasaan kosa kata, Pembelajaran efektif.

Abstract

Abstract In learning Arabic, teachers generally only convey the lecture method or only use one method and students tend to get bored. the teacher also only conveys the main things that are considered important only in language without any practice of what is learned, therefore the media is present as one of the components supporting the success of the teaching and learning process. the researcher chose one of the media, namely chain whisper media because it was considered effective and helpful for students of class 8 MTS in improving students' listening and speaking skills. With the aim to find out how student activities, students' istima development and to find out how the results of the implementation of Whispers in Chains on class VIII students of mts assunniyyah Using descriptive qualitative methods, types of field research, technical data analysis using data reduction, and data validity, namely triangulation of the application of the whisper method chain, makes students more active and not bored, in training language skills makes it easier for students to receive material and information, especially in maharah istimak, and creates a sense of cooperation between students so that the atmosphere of learning activities is not burdensome. The influence of significant student learning outcomes in learning makes this method acceptable. Keywords: method, chain whisper game, istima’.
