Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the communicative approach was able to give the right influence on the speaking skills of elementary school students. The method used in this study was action research. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Bile Tengak, the research subjects were 24 students of class V-A consisting of 11 male students and 13 female students. The participants involved in this research are the researchers themselves who act as teachers who teach in class V-A and class V-B teachers as collaborators. The instrument used in this study is an observation sheet. There is a significant difference in speaking skills through a communicative approach in fifth grade students with the theme “Objects in the Surrounding Environment,” sub-theme “Humans and the Environment”. In the first cycle, 13 students (54.17%) completed, and 11 students (45.83%) had not completed. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of the second theme "Events in Life", the sub-theme "Various Events in Life", 18 students (75%) completed, and 6 students (25%) did not complete with an average score of 80. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pendekatan komunikatif mampu memberikan pengaruh yang tepat pada keterampilan berbicara siswa Sekolah Dasar.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan (action research). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Bile Tengak, subyek penelitian siswa kelas V-A sejumlah 24 siswa yang terdiri atas 11 siswa laki-laki dan 13 siswa perempuan. Partisipan yang terlibat di dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri yang berperan sebagai guru yang mengajar di kelas V-A dan guru kelas V-B sebagai kolaborator.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniadalah lembar observasi.Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data, maka kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalahTerdapat peningkatan yan signifikan keterampilan berbicara melalui pendekatan komunikatif pada siswa kelas V dengan tema satu “Benda-benda di Lingkungan Sekitar,” subtema “Manusia dan Lingkungan”. Pada siklus I sebanyak 13 siswa (54,17%) tuntas, dan 11 siswa (45,83%) belum tuntas. Sedangkan pada siklus II tema dua, Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan”, subtema “Macam-macam Peristiwa dalam Kehidupan”, sebanyak 18 siswa (75 %) tuntas, dan 6 siswa (25%) belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 80.

Abstract

This study departs from the condition that the critical thinking skills of grade 4 students at SD N Bile Penanggak are still low and have a low impact on learning outcomes as well. Based on this background, the purpose of this research is to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes through the Discovery Learning Model. The type of research used is CAR which is carried out in 2 cycles. Data collection instruments include tests in the form of test questions to measure the level of achievement of learning outcomes and non-tests in the form of task assessment rubrics to measure students' critical thinking levels. Data analysis in this study is a comparative descriptive analysis. The critical thinking ability of students in the very high category in the first cycle was only 19.35% increased in the second cycle to 61.29%, the learning outcomes of students who completed the first cycle were only 35.48% and increased in the second cycle to 80.65% . Based on these results, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model can improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students at SD Negeri Bile Penanggak. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berangkat dari kondisi keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas 4 SD N Bile Penanggak masih rendah dan berdampak pada hasil belajar yang rendah pula. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini ialah meningkatkan keterampilan bepikir kritis dan hasil belajar melalui Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Instrumen pengumpulan data diantaranya tes yang berupa soal tes untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian hasil belajar dan nontes berupa rubrik penilaian tugas untuk mengukur tingkat berpikir kritis peserta didik. Analisis data pada penelitian ini ialah analisis deskriptif komparatif. Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kategori sangat tinggi pada siklus I hanya 19,35% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 61,29%, Hasil belajar peserta didik yang tuntas pada siklus I hanya 35,48% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 80,65%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik SD Negeri Bile Penanggak.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Civics learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Liwung by applying the script type cooperative learning model. This research is a classroom action research conducted at Liwung State Elementary School, the subject of this research is the fourth grade students with a total of 40 students. The results showed that the results of observations of teacher activities in cycle I, the first meeting was in the poor category with a percentage of 62.5%. At the second meeting, the percentage increased to enough category by 70.8%. In the second cycle of the first meeting the category was very good with a percentage of 95.8%, and at the second meeting the category was also very good with a percentage of 100%. The results of the observation of student activities in the first cycle, the first meeting was in the poor category with a percentage of 54.2%, at the second meeting the good category with a percentage of 79.2%. In the second cycle, the first meeting was in the very good category with a percentage of 95.8%, and the second meeting in the very good category with a percentage of 100%. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained classical completeness of 33% in the less category and increased in the second cycle to 72.50% in the good category. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the script type cooperative learning model can improve Civics learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Liwung. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Liwung dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Script. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Liwung, subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Hasil pengamatan aktivitas guru siklus I, pertemuan pertama kategori kurang baik dengan persentase 62,5%. Pada pertemuan kedua meningkat dengan kategori cukup persentase 70,8%. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama kategori amat baik dengan persentase 95,8%, dan pada pertemuan kedua kategori juga amat baik dengan persentase 100%. Hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa siklus I, pertemuan pertama kategori kurang baik dengan persentase 54,2 %, pada pertemuan kedua kategori baik dengan persentase 79,2%. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama kategori amat baik dengan persentase 95,8%, dan pertemuan kedua kategori amat baik dengan persentase 100%. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I memperoleh ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 33% dengan kategori kurang dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 72,50 % dengan kategori baik. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Script dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Liwung.
