Abstract

This paper describes the role of the ethical code and professionality of Christian religious education teachers on the character of children. The importance of the role of the code of ethics and the teacher professionality is to provide good examples and play a role in instilling positive character values for children's character. In addition, teachers do not only transfer knowledge to children but also teach Christian values, namely the cultivation of the living character of the person of Jesus Christ. Using descriptive qualitative methods, it can be concluded that to educate and shape children to the true values of life and to encourage and direct students to good character, teachers who are professional and have characters that meet the standards and teachers who have the potential and creativity in empowering the learning process are needed. teaching is an ethical and professional teacher. AbstrakTulisan ini mendeskripsikan tentang peran kode etik dan profesionalitas guru pendidikan agama Kristen terhadap karakter anak. Pentingnya peran kode etik dan profesionalitas guru pendidikan agama Kristen adalah untuk memberikan keteladanan yang baik serta berperan untuk memberikan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter yang positif kepada karakter anak. Seorang guru harus memahami bahwa tugas dalam profesinya bukan hanya untuk sekedar mentransfer ilmu pengatahuan semata kepada anak tetapi juga mengajarkan nilai-nilai kekristenan yaitu penanaman kebiasaan atau tabiat hidup dari pribadi Tuhan Yesus.  Mengunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mendidik serta membentuk anak kepada nilai-nilai hidup yang benar dan mendorong serta mengarahkan anak didik kepada karakter yang baik dibutuhkan guru yang profesional dan memiliki karakter yang memenuhi standar serta guru yang memiliki potensi dan kreatifitas dalam memberdayakan proses belajar mengajar yaitu guru yang beretika dan profesional.

Abstract

The success or failure of an education is largely determined by the strategy used by each educator in teaching in order to obtain maximum results. Therefore the research aims to describe how the Jesus on the Mount Learning Strategy as a Reflection of Today's Teachers, by using descriptive qualitative methods it can be concluded that the learning strategy of Jesus preaching on the hill is a strategy that every teacher needs to have today, namely teachers who have the expertise, skills, creativity in teaching with the ability to utilize existing media in order to achieve effective, efficient and relevant learning, namely the material, points or values that the teacher wants to instill and teach can be conveyed, understood and students are able reflect on the lessons learned in everyday life. Today's teachers are expected to own and make the learning strategies that Jesus used when preaching on the hill as a reflection in teaching today. So that today's teachers can have accuracy, skill, skill, expertise in creating a learning atmosphere, the ability to convey learning material to students with maximum results and on target.
