<![CDATA[Background: Low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding can impact the quality of life of the nation's next generation and the national economy. The national coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in 2018 only reached 68,74%, Aceh reached 48%, Aceh Besar reached 61%, and Baitussalam District only 14%. Breastfeeding coverage was highest in Labuy village at 10% and lowest in Kajhu Ikrak village at 6%.Objectives: To determine the relationship between family support and culture with exclusive breastfeeding in infants in five villages of Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar.Methods: This descriptive-analytic study used a cross-sectional design. The population was all mothers who had babies aged > 6-12 months in five villages of Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar. Sampling in this study was total sampling. Data collection was done by interview using a questionnaire as a research instrument. Data processing through data examination, classification, verification, analysis, and conclusion. Data analysis using Chi-Square test with 95% CI.Results: The results showed that only 16,1% of mothers provided exclusive breastfeeding, cultural support was 39,3%, and family support was 53,6%. Furthermore, statistical results have proven a relationship between culture (p= 0,021) and family support (p= 0,001) with exclusive breastfeeding in Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar.Conclusion: Family support and cultural factors significantly correlate with exclusive breastfeeding in infants in Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar.]]>
