Abstract

The success of blasting activities can be seen from three aspects, namely the absence of accidents, achieving production targets and the absence of impact on the environment. The success of the blasting is influenced by the knowledge, skills and work attitude (competence) of the Blaster. One alternative to increase competence can be done through effective education and training. This study aims to determine the extent of the effectiveness of teaching aids and learning videos in increasing the understanding of training participants on the material presented. This research use a questionnare that is submitted to the participants of Class II Explosive Training Class IV 2021 at PPSDM Geominerba. The results of the questionnaire were processed using statistical methods through several analyzes, namely regression analysis and analysis of variance. From the results of data processing, it is found that there are three variables that have an influence on increasing the understanding of class II Explosive Training participants, namely the use of teaching aids and learning videos can increase the focus of training participants (X1), increase enthusiasm (X2) and reduce the boredom of training participants during training take place (X3). Variable X3 has the greatest influence among the other two variables on increasing participants' understanding. Based on the results of the analysis of variance, it can be seen that teaching aids and learning videos are proven to increase the effectiveness of Class II Explosive Training.

Abstract

It has often happened that victims have fallen or been trapped in tall buildings that are on fire, due to the delay in the evacuation or rescue process by the existing external rescue team due to access to the fire location that is not smooth due to traffic jams or indeed limited access, such as narrow roads or unavailability of rescue facilities. fire emergency on site, or insufficient available facilities. The weaknesses of the current emergency rescue system need to be anticipated by providing alternative independent rescue methods that can be carried out by the building occupants themselves. This scientific study aims to determine whether the training for survival in emergency conditions in tall buildings using ascending and descending techniques is needed by residents of tall buildings, the research method used is descriptive qualitative method, from the research it was found that the training for this method of self-rescue is very important, needed and can be given in the form of short 2–3 days training or 1 day technical guidance repeatedly.

Abstract

Emergencies in buildings may be fires, earthquakes, falling at high. If such emergency conditions occur in non-tiered buildings then the evacuation process will be much easier than the evacuation process in high buildings. Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is one of the ministries that have high buildings in its work unit, which is definitely the potential for a emergencies will be very possible. When a emergencies occurs then an existing emergency response facilities should available and employees understand the evacuation procedure. There should be a way or method of escape from high buildings in addition other then use existing emergency response facilities that is by using rope. This study aims to determine whether ascending and descending techniques in the rock climbing can be applied as an alternative evacuation in case of emergency conditions, while the study method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research deliver that the existing facilities and infrastructure of emergency response condition in KESDM workforce have not been well managed and the employees are lack of knowledge of how to escape from emergencies. This can be seen from the absence of routine check cards of infrastructure, employees and security officers do not have the competence certificate of fire handling class B.
