Abstract

In life, in nature there is potential energy that can be utilized for human life behind the ineffectiveness of fossil energy for the environment, the use of natural resources that can be renewed by utilizing the energy contained in the heat of the sun. Utilization of solar thermal energy can be converted into useful power by using solar power plants (PLTS), therefore solar power plants are very potential to be developed in Indonesia, because Indonesia's climate is suitable as a tropical country with sunshine throughout the year. Solar Power Generation (PLTS) is a relatively new method of generating electrical energy by utilizing solar energy. The Solar Power Generation System (PLTS) as a power plant is directed so that it can be utilized by users who are not reached by PLN. The author conducted a study which was conducted to find out how potential solar thermal energy is to be used as a solar power plant, the use of natural resources is carried out in order to find out how potential the use of PLTS is. The process of generating solar power can be done with sunlight in order to produce electrical energy and be used for home lighting systems. One unit of lighting with 10 Watt specifications requires 132Wh. In solar panels there will be power loss depending on the type and quality of the solar panels, to stabilize the need for electricity consumption to be no less than the safe requirement, the total power per day is multiplied by 0.13 = 13%. This value must be generated by the solar panel

Abstract

In the automotive world, improving engine performance can be done by maximizing the performance of the ignition system in order to enlarge the sparks from the spark plugs so that the fuel and air mixture can burn perfectly. Complete combustion will cause the motor performance to increase. Therefore, the use of a racing coil as a device whose job is to strengthen the sparks on the spark plug is expected to increase power optimally. This study uses quantitative methods with experimental research. The standard coil transforms the 12 Volt battery voltage into a high voltage of more than 5000 Volts while the racing coil increases the high voltage to more than 10 Kilo Volts. The test results using the dynotest tool show that the lowest power produced by the standard coil is 0.0038 HP at 2000 rpm engine speed and the highest power generated is 0.0878 HP at 3500 rpm engine speed. While the lowest power generated by the racing coil is 0.0751 HP at 2000 rpm engine speed and the highest power generated is 0.1304 HP at 4000 rpm engine speed. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of coil racing on a motorcycle has a positive effect on the power generated. Where the power generated by using a racing coil is higher than the power generated by using a standard coil. There is a significant effect on the use of coil racing on the power of the yamaha zupiter Z1
