Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat proses dan hasil pewarnaan graf menggunakan Algoritma Welch-Powell dalam penyusunan jadwal mata kuliah Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sanata Dharma. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian terapan. Algoritma Welch-Powell akan diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah studi kepustakaan dan wawancara. Objek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah daftar dosen, daftar mata kuliah, jam aktif perkuliahan, serta banyaknya kelas dan ruangan yang digunakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sanata Dharma. Wawancara dilakukan dengan pedoman wawancara yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Analisis data dilakukan dengan memodelkan daftar dosen dengan daftar mata kuliah ke dalam grafik dan menentukan warna minimum pada proses pewarnaan menggunakan algoritma Welch-Powell.

Abstract

Mathematics is used in various fields of human life, one of them is in the industrial field. In the field of industrial mathematics can be used in finding the shortest route in distributing industrial gas. Finding the shortest route was done using Dijkstra's algorithm and developing the Python programming language. The purpose of this study is to determine the shortest route on industrial gas distribution at PT Tira Austenite Tbk Cikarang using the Python programming language. This type of research is applied research. The results obtained from this study are the Python programming language that can be used to find the shortest route of industrial gas distribution and users only enter the starting point and endpoint data on the program.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ mistakes in solving number theory’s problem. In this study, error analysis, especially on the topic of Diophantine equations and Chinese remainder theorem. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 46 students of mathematics education at Sanata Dharma University. The data collection technique used a test. The data were analyzed to determine errors in doing number theory problems using the type of error according to Newman. According to Newman, five types of errors are reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding errors. The conclusion of this study showed that the most errors made were related to process skill errors and transformation errors, while only a few experienced comprehension and encoding errors. None of the students made reading error.This shows that students already understand the meaning of the problem, but when changing and looking for solutions to problems an error occurs. The factors that may cause this error are a lack of understanding of the concept of the Diophantine equations and Chinese remainder theorem, as well as a lack of problem practice.

Abstract

. Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural and cultural resources. One of the cultures they have is fine arts. Fine art is one of the diverse cultures. This study examines one of the fine arts from Yogyakarta, namely woven bamboo. The famous woven bamboo handicraft industry comes from Dusun Brajan, Sendangagung, Kecamatan Minggir, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine the history of bamboo weaving activities, mathematical fundamental activities and implementation of bamboo weaving in Dusun Brajan in learning mathematics for junior high school students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with an ethnographic approach that aims to describe and assess the pattern of the bamboo craftsman group in Dusun Brajan. Data collection methods used were observation, documentation and interviews with the administrator of the Desa Wisata Brajan and the Dusun Brajan bamboo weaving craftsmen. The results of this study indicate the beginning of the development of woven bamboo crafts until now it has become a well-known craft centre. Through this woven bamboo, students can learn six basic math activities: counting, finding, measuring, designing, playing, and explaining. Implementation in learning mathematics in junior high schools is a contextual problem that can be used as discussion material for students.
