Abstract

Abstrak. Riset ini bertujuan untuk melihat beberapa pengaruh konsentrasi H2SO4 yang terbaik untuk pematahan dormansi dan vigor benih Mucuna. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. Penelitian berlangsung sejak tanggal 15 Agustus sampai dengan 10 September 2021. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial 8 taraf perlakuan, yaitu K0: Kontrol (+), tanpa H2SO4, K1:0,5% H2SO4, K2: 1% H2SO4,  K3:1,5% H2SO4, K4: 2% H2SO4, K5: 2,5% H2SO4 , K6: 3,0 % H2SO4, dan K7: 3,5% H2SO4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan H2SO4 berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter Potensi Tumbuh Maksimum dan Daya Berkecambah Perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada H2SO4 konsentrasi 3,5%.Effect of Several Concentrations of H2SO4 on Breaking Dormancy and Vigor of Mucuna Seeds (Mucuna bracteata D.C)Abstract. This research aims to see some of the effects of the best concentration of H2SO4  for breaking dormancy and vigor of Mucuna seeds. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The study took place from August 15 to September 10, 2021. The research design used was a Non-Factoral Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 8 treatment levels, namely K0: Control (+), without H2SO4, K1: 0.5 % H2SO4, K2: 1% H2SO4,  K3:1.5% H2SO4, K4: 2% H2SO4, K5: 2.5% H2SO4 , K6: 3.0 % H2SO4, and K7: 3.5% H2SO4. The results showed that the treatment with H2SO4 had a very significant effect on the parameters of Maximum Growth Potential and Germination Power. The best treatment was found at 3.5% H2SO4 concentration.
