Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan aktivitas belajar SMP Negeri 19 Mataram dengan menggunakan media audio visual program power point. Program ini dapat memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan konsep IPA, terutama konsep abstrak menjadi konsep yang konkrit sehingga bisa dinalar siswa, misalnya: organisasi kehidupan. Subyek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 47 siswa kelas VIIA SMP Negeri 19 Mataram. Pengambilan data mengunakan metode observasi, lembar tanggapan dan metode tes.penelitian dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Tahapan tiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I, aktifitas siswa pada Proses Belajar Mengajar (PBM) hanya mencapai 51,06%, ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 68,77% sedangkan pada siklus II aktifitas siswa pada PBM sudah mengalami peningkatan yaitu mencapai 84,04%, ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 84,26%.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to: To find out the application of the discovery learning model with a scientific approach in learning science for class IX.I students of SMP Negeri 2 Mataram in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. To find out the increase in creativity and science learning outcomes through the application of the discovery learning model learning with a scientific approach for class IX.I students of SMP Negeri 2 Mataram in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research was carried out in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the descriptive analysis after the application of the discovery learning model with the scientific approach indicated that there was an increase in the value of science process skills that: Student activity in science learning with the Discovery Learning learning model with the Scientific Approach in cycle I was 70.24% (good enough category), then experienced increase in cycle II of 95.23% (very good category). Student learning outcomes in the initial conditions obtained an average of 80.26 or 64.10% classical completeness, to 84.33 or 82.05% classical completeness in cycle I, increasing to an average of 93.26 or 100% in cycle II. Based on these conclusions, the hypothesis that has been determined can be accepted, namely by applying the Discovery Learning learning model with a Scientific Approach can improve process skills and science learning outcomes for Class IX.I SMP Negeri 2 Mataram Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: To find out science learning activities using the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method for class IX.G students of SMP Negeri 2 Mataram. To find out the increase in science learning outcomes using the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method for class IX.G students of SMP Negeri 2 Mataram. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), using two cycles through the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. As subjects in this study were class IX.G students for the 2021/2022 academic year with a total of 35 students, consisting of 16 male students and 19 female students. The results of this study indicate that: The SQ3R (Survey Question Read Recite Review) learning model strategy in science learning in the initial conditions was 68.57 with an average of 80.37 and in the first cycle the students' classical learning mastery was 82.86% with an average score average 83.91. In cycle II the classical student mastery was 100% with an average value of 91.29. Thus the SQ3R (Survey Question Read Recite Review) strategy in learning science can effectively improve student learning outcomes in class VII.I SMP Negeri 2 Mataram in science subjects. Student activity in learning with the SQ3R strategy (Survey Question Read Recite Review) in science learning in cycle I obtained a score of 65.00 with a score of 26 in the good category. In the activities of questions, reciting, presenting the results of group learning and concluding learning outcomes are included in the sufficient category, while the activity of answering questions through group discussions is still in the less category. The deficiencies that existed in cycle I were corrected in cycle II. Acquisition of student activity scores in cycle II increased to 33 in the very good category, with a value of 87.50. In cycle II students were able to carry out SQ3R (Survey Question Read Recite Review) activities in science learning well. Teacher activity in science learning with the SQ3R strategy (Survey Question Read Recite Review) in cycle I was 68.57% (fairly good category) and experienced an increase in cycle II of 85.71% (very good category).
