Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine, identify, and assess the influence of independent factors such as learning facilities, competency, and teacher performance on the dependent variable, namely education quality in Bogor Regency Vocational Schools. This study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. The target population is 133 instructors, while the study sample is 100 teachers after applying the Slovin formula. A questionnaire was utilized to collect data for this study. The data was processed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). SmartPLS 3.0 is the program used to process the data. In this study, assessing the data comprises testing the outer model, the inner model, and the hypothesis. The coefficient of determination (R Square) was found to be 42,4 percent. The remaining 57,6 percent is explained by factors other than the study model. As a result of these findings, this study model may be deemed to have a high goodness of fit. In evaluating the hypothesis, learning facilities have a direct positive influence on educational quality. Teacher competency has a direct beneficial impact on educational quality. Meanwhile, teacher performance has little direct impact on educational quality. This teacher performance characteristic requires careful study so that teacher can deliver the best possible performance in the classroom. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pengaruh variabel bebas yang terdiri dari fasilitas belajar, kompetensi dan kinerja guru terhadap variabel terikat yaitu mutu pendidikan di SMK Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Populasi target sebanyak 133 guru dan setelah dihitung dengan rumus Slovin, diperoleh sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 guru. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan kuesioner. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk mengolah data adalah SmartPLS versi 3.0. Pengujian data dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengujian outer model, pengujian inner model dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 42,4%. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 57,6% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang berada di luar model penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, dari hasil tersebut maka model penelitian ini dapat dinyatakan telah memiliki goodness of fit yang baik. Pada pengujian hipotesis diperoleh, fasilitas belajar berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap mutu pendidikan. Kompetensi guru berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap mutu pendidikan. Sedangkan kinerja guru tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap mutu pendidikan.  Variabel kinerja guru ini perlu mendapat pertimbangan kritis agar guru dapat memberikan kinerja tertinggi di sekolah.

Abstract

The main reason behind the school literacy movement is the lack of interest in reading among students and the need for reading materials and supporting facilities that are less diverse. This study aims to know the effectiveness of school literacy programs at the elementary school level. The method used is descriptive with literature study. The references used by researchers are in the form of textbooks, documents, and research papers related to the research topic. Again, the researcher critically studies, debates, and argues based on facts. The conclusions and ideas mentioned are then compared and reviewed carefully and thoroughly. This study highlights the need to increase school literacy in government programs, especially in elementary schools. To optimize the program, along with the time of implementation, it is better not to run at the same time as school hours, increase student interest by providing interesting books, socializing the program, and being supervised by the school and local government. Commitment and cooperation must be built between various stakeholders such as schools, students, parents, community, local or national government. The synergy of various parties is important to be able to boost obstacles and all problems in implementing school literacy.
