Abstract

Karya Andaru Intan pada novel 33 Senja di Halmahera menceritakan tentang Nathan, seorang tentara beragama Nasrani dari Ambon yang harus ditugaskan ke sebuah desa kecil di Maluku utara, yang jatuh cinta kepada Puan seorang gadis Muslim yang tinggal di pesisir pantai dan bekerja sebagai guru Bahasa inggris. Novel ini dianalisis dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Pendekatan kepada sastra yang berfokus pada masyarakat disebut sosiologi sastra, Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan latar belakang dari sosial budaya masyarakat Halmahera serta nilai-nilai edukatif yang terdapat dalam novel 33 Senja di Halmahera. Nilai edukatif atau nilai Pendidikan adalah suatu nilai yang mencakup sikap diri sendiri dalam kehidupan sosial dan pribadi, nilai-nilai edukatif di novel 33 Senja di Halmahera adalah bersahabat/komunikatif, terampil, religius, bertanggung jawab dan disiplin. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode deskritif yang menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra.  Sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah karya Andaru Intan pada novel 33 Senja di Halmahera.

Abstract

This study analyzes illocutionary acts in Nugibara's short story Tak Terlihat. Illocutionary acts are acts of speech by the speaker that serve to state or inform something and are used to get the interlocutor to perform an action. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the types of illocutionary acts that appear in the short story based on Searle's theory of speech acts. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data used in this study are sentences containing illocutionary acts in Nugibara's short story Tak Terlihat. The data collection technique was carried out by recording existing documents, with the first step being to repeatedly read the object to be studied, namely the short story Tak Terlihat by Nugibara. Second, the illocutionary acts in the short story were classified, and the implicatures contained in the acts of speech in the short story were analyzed. The results of the study show that various types of illocutionary acts are found in the short story Tak Terlihat, including representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative acts. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the function and meaning of illocutionary acts in literary works, especially short stories, as well as enriching pragmatic studies in discourse analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze news texts on the online news portal IDN Times. In addition, the study aims to identify various syntactic errors in the news texts on the portal, including non-standard sentence structures, the use of loanwords, ambiguous sentences, inappropriate diction, and low word efficiency, thereby providing an overview of the language quality and presentation of information in the online media. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with a syntactic framework as the theoretical foundation. The researcher obtained data by reading several relevant references and recording information that could be used as data. Therefore, the reading and note-taking technique was used in this study. The data in this study consisted of news texts from the online news portal IDN Times, edition 2025. The data analysis method employed is the distributional method. The researcher analyzed the texts by identifying sentences that did not conform to syntactic rules and assessed the suitability of the texts as proper and accurate news texts. The results revealed various syntactic errors, including errors in sentence structure, diction, punctuation, sentence effectiveness, loanword usage, and conjunction usage. How ever, the findings indicate that although some syntactic errors were found, the news texts on the portal generally have a relatively good and coherent structure. Therefore, the texts can provide valuable insights into language use in the context of online media and serve as sources of information for studying language quality and effective communication in digital news writing.
