Abstract

The development research carried out intends to develop an Archimedes Law Material E-Module on the Motion System to improve the understanding of the Learner's Concept. Product development uses the ADDIE model. Validation of material experts, media experts and testing the responses of teachers and students is a product trial design carried out. The validation of the material and the E-module media was carried out by five peer reviewers, the teacher response questionnaire was carried out by four teachers from several schools in Yogyakarta and Central Java. The E-Modul trial was tested on 25 class VIII students of SMPIT Bakti Insani with a quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design. The results of the material expert validation data showed an average of 96.67% in the "very good" category, the media expert validation data showed an average of 96.83%, and the teacher's response results showed an average of 86.64% with the "very good". Trials were also conducted on students by obtaining an average presentation on each component aspect, namely according to the criteria, language, graphics and usability with an average proportion of e-modules of 82.03% with the criteria of "very good". The results of understanding the concept of students were carried out pretest posttest control group design with experimental and control classes. The results of the increase are quite effective with an average N-Gain of 62.9%. In addition, the acquisition of students who completed the Minimum Passing Criteria was 100 percent, while only 83.33% had completed the Minimum Passing Criteria in the control class. On the whole it can be guaranteed that the E-module is very feasible and effective enough to be applied in learning

Abstract

Developing android-based teaching materials is an initial step to follow the presence of the society 5.0 era in the learning system. This study aimed to know the feasibility and practicality of an Android-based e-module developed on Newton's law material. This study is research and development using the 4D model from Thiagarajan with four stages of development: define, design, develop, and dissemination. The research instrument used is an expert validation sheet, students' reliability questionnaire, interview guide sheet, and e-module prototype with research subjects consisting of 50 students. The research instruments used are expert validation sheets, student reliability questionnaires, interview guide sheets, and e-module prototypes. The research subjects are 10th-grade students. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive. Based on expert validation, the feasibility analysis results show 94.86% and 90.8%. Results of the practicality analysis show a percentage of 100% based on the test results, which means that the android-based e-module developed meets the feasibility and practical aspects of teaching materials on Newton's law. The effective analysis results on the effective use of e-modules show N-gain 1,877 in the high category, which means that e-module developed is effective use as learning media in Newton's law material.

Abstract

Education is an endeavour to infuse civilization in the lives of individuals so that they can reach their greatest potential as human beings. Individuals are expected to be able to monitor the advancement of science and technology, as well as science and information and communication technology, through education. As a consequence, the study's goals are to establish the outcomes of the e-requirements Student Worksheets analysis, define the feasibility level of guided inquiry-based e-SW; and determine guided inquiry-based e-practicality. Electronic Student Worksheets in this study focuses on the e-SW, which is based on guided inquiry. Six media and materials professionals, one physics instructor, and 24 students took part in this project. The steps of ADDIE development are used as a research technique, comprising analysis, design, development, and implementation, however the assessment stage is not completed. The findings of this research led to the conclusion that educational product creation is viable and practicable. This is based on the results of a validation test conducted by media and material experts that scored above 80% in the very excellent category. And as well as a poll of teacher and student responses that scored above 90% in the very excellent category.

Abstract

Problem solving skills (PSS) are one of the 21st century skills, but the problems encountered show that students' PSS in science learning are still low, using the PBL model with the STEM approach could be a solution to the students’ problems. So, that the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the PBL model with STEM approach to students' PSS. The method used in this research is quasi experimental method with one group pre-test-post-test design. The research population was students of class VIIA at a SMPN in Jombang. The instrument used was in the form of multiple choice questions with reference to PSS indicators, the data obtained is processed statistically and the results are analysed using n-gain calculations. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model with the STEM approach has an effect on the PSS of students in the moderate n-gain category, when viewed from the PSS indicator, the problem identification indicator gets the highest average of 94% followed by the indicator of setting goals, formulating solutions, and implementing solutions with an average of 72%, and result evaluation indicator with the lowest average of 66%.
