Abstract

Keberadaan BMT dalam perekonomian Indonesia sangat dibutuhkan,karena tujuan berdirinya BMT adalah guna meningkatkan kualitas usaha ekonomi bagi kesejahteraan anggota khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya, yang belum terjangkau oleh Lembaga Keuangan Perbankan. BMT (Bait al-Mal wa at-Tamwil) dapat dijadikan pula sebagai alternatif bagi adanya pengharaman riba dalam bunga bank konvensional, sehingga keinginan umat Islam untuk dapat melaksanakan transaksi keuangan yang bernuansa Islam telah terpenuhi.Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk memahami faktor yang mengakibatkan tumbangnya BMT di Lampung Timur yaitu BMT L-Risma dan Sumber Sejahtera Bersama (SSB) dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana bagaimana status badan hukum dan pengawasan BMT dengan adanya Undang-Undang No. 1 Tahun 2013 tentang Lembaga Keuangan Mikro.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (Field Research). Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi sumber data primer, sekunder dan tersier.Metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.Keseluruhan analisa masalah yang penulis peroleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode berfikir induktif. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut (a) Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan tumbangnya BMT di Lampung Timur yaitu BMT L-RISMA dan BMT Sumber Sejahtera Bersama disebabkan oleh 2 faktor yaitu Faktor internal meliputi, seperti penyalahgunaan dana BMT, Pembiayaan pihak 3 yang macet, risiko likuiditas,, risiko pembiayaan, tidak adanya LPS dan pengawasan DPS yang masih lemah. Faktor eksternal meliputi penyaluran produk yang kurang tepat, strategi pemasaran produk yang kurang baik, masih adanya pembiayaan dengan Bank Konvensional dan (b) Status Badan Hukum BMT dalam Undang-undang No 1 tahun 2013 menjadi LKM yang berbasis syariah yang lebih komprehensif Serta dalam segi pengawasan lebih diperketat yang sekarang di awasi oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK).

Abstract

This article aims to describe the corporate zakat implementation model in Metro City, as implemented by the Grand Sekuntum Syariah Metro hotel. This research is a field research, data collection techniques using documentation and interviews. The analysis technique used is a qualitative technique. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of company zakat is carried out by taking into account two criteria, namely consumptive and productive. Consumptive zakat is given directly to mustahik without empowerment. This zakat is distributed directly to the underprivileged people who are around the hotel in the form of consumable needs, such as food, clothing, and housing needs in general. Meanwhile, for productive zakat distribution, the hotel cooperates with the Amil Zakat Institution in Metro City, the hotel gives its zakat funds to the amil zakat institution. The zakat funds are used to support productive zakat distribution programs in Metro City.
