Abstract

Nowadays, the development of technology is very rapid, so watching movies at home has become a means of entertainment. Netflix is one of the platforms for watching movies and provides various movie titles. However, because of the many movie titles, it makes it difficult for users to determine the movie they want to watch. The solution to this problem is to provide a recommendation system that can provide movie recommendations to watch. Collaborative filtering is a method that exists in the recommendation system by providing recommendations based on the ratings given by other users. Collaborative filtering is divided into two, namely based on items (item-based) and based on users (user-based). Twitter is a social media used to write posts called tweets. For this system, tweets serve as data that will be processed into ratings. This research was conducted using k-means clustering with collaborative filtering and collaborative filtering only. By using a dataset obtained from Twitter by crawling data and added with ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic. Which resulted in a dataset with 35 users, 785 movie titles, and 6184 reviews. Then preprocessing the data with text processing, polarity, and labeling. And get the dataset that will be used for this experiment. The results of this research test show that k-means clustering with collaborative filtering gets the best results with the best prediction of 2.8466, getting an MAE value of 0.5029, and an RMSE value of 0.6354

Abstract

Twitter is one of the most popular social media among Indonesian people. Due to the high number of users and the intensity of their use, Twitter can also be used to dig up information related to a topic or product with sentiment analysis. One of the most frequently discussed topics on Twitter is related to movie reviews. Everyone's opinion of movie reviews can refer to different aspects. So, aspect-based sentiment analysis can be applied to movie reviews to get more optimal results. Aspect-based sentiment analysis is a solution to find out the opinions of Twitter users on movie reviews based on the aspects. In this study, a system for aspect-based sentiment analysis was built with a dataset of Indonesian language movie reviews consisting of 3 aspects: plot, acting, and director. The classification model uses Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method with the application of TF-IDF feature extraction, fastText feature expansion, and handling of imbalanced data using SMOTE. The results of this study for the plot aspect obtained an accuracy score of 74.86% and F1-score of 74.74%, the acting aspect obtained an accuracy score of 94.80% and F1-score of 94.74%, and the director aspect obtained an accuracy score of 94.02% and F1-score of 93.89%.

Abstract

Twitter as one of the social media with the most users in the world, is often used as a medium for sharing opinions that can be positive or negative. Movie reviews containing many complex explanations and judgments will be challenging to classify. Therefore a sentiment analysis process based on aspects is needed to analyze the polarity of film review opinions based on predetermined aspects. This research aims to analyze the polarity of film review opinions based on aspects using the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory method and GloVe feature extraction. This study uses plot, acting, and director aspects with a total dataset of 17.247 data. Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory is proven to produce relevant and accurate results for sentiment analysis with the greatest accuracy of 56,29% in the plot aspect, 87,07% in the acting aspect, and 85,55% in the director aspect. GloVe feature extraction is proven to increase the performance value of this research by up to 13,57% in the plot aspect, 4,16% in the acting aspect, and 10,48% in the director aspect.

Abstract

Stock investing has become popular among the public. Although this stock investment has significant risks, every year, investors keep increasing because the return from stocks is also quite promising. Social media also supports this stock investing, which can give information extensively and very quickly, so it can affect the stock price. The Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) theory defines that market information reflects stock prices. In this research, sentiment analysis uses a dataset crawled from Twitter to process the sentiment into helpful information. All the tweets related to stock prices are collected for sentiment analysis according to the appropriate sentiment type, whether it's a positive or negative sentiment. Many believe that sentiment influences stock price movements. This sentiment analysis process uses a hybrid method named Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) with feature expansion Word2Vec. Afterwards, the hybrid method analysis will establish the final accuracy obtained. This research uses 27.930 data and shows the hybrid CNN Bi-LSTM method result is 95.74%.

Abstract

With the era of digitalization, movie-watching has gained immense popularity, with platforms like Disney+ offering easy access to a variety of films. After watching, users frequently share their opinions on social media platforms such as Twitter, because of it is freedom of expression. With numerous movies available, users frequently encounter challenges in deciding what to watch. To address this, a recommendation system is proposed to streamline the decision-making process for users. Collaborative Filtering (CF), Content-Based Filtering (CBF), and Hybrid Filtering are common techniques used in recommendation systems. However, CF and CBF techniques face issues like cold start, sparse data, and overspecialization. To overcome these, this research constructs a Hybrid Filtering recommendation system, with a weight-based of CF-CBF coupled with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) classification. The classification uses various optimizers, including Adam, SGD, Nadam, RMSprop, and Adamax. Dataset is sourced from Kaggle website, which includes movie-related tweets linked to the Disney+ platform. The results indicate that Weight-Based Hybrid Filtering utilizing Adamax optimizer in LSTM classification yields superior performance metrics, by having 78% Precision, 79% Recall, 79% Accuracy, and 77% F1-Score value.

Abstract

Individual personality can be seen easily in this day. There are several approaches in classifying personality, one of which is the big five personality. The big five personality consists of 5 dimensions, namely Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. One way of knowing an individual's personality can be seen from their social media, because today almost all individuals have social media. One of the social media that is still widely used is Twitter. Twitter is a social media that contains tweets from each individual with a maximum of 280 characters per tweet. There have been several studies related to the big five personalities of Twitter users. Based on previous big five personality research problems, this study carried out predictions of the big five personalities of Twitter users using the Decision Tree Classification And Regression Tree (CART), Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE), Linguistic Inquiry Word Count (LIWC), and Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) methods. The study aims to determine the application of the methods used in this study to the prediction of big five personalities and to get better accuracy results than previous studies. Data obtained from 315 twitter users and 672,866 tweets obtained from surveys and have been labeled with big five personalities, resulting in an accuracy of 97.62% from the baseline with an increase of 23.1%, by applying the CART+TF-IDF+SMOTE+LIWC+BERT method.
