Abstract

COVID-19 has spread rapidly in the population and made researchers think about various possible routes of transmission. Air is one of the important risk factors, which has a great opportunity to transmit droplets of small size and become aerosols floating in indoor conditions with people infected with COVID-19. The purpose of this study is to conduct a literature review of original research related to the possibility of COVID-19 transmission by the air route. Literature Review uses electronic databases: Research Gate, PubMed, and Science Direct. The article search results identified 7 articles from the Research Gate database, 10 articles from the PubMed database and 13 articles from the Science Direct database, after being screened for relevance obtained 11 articles that are precise and complete according to the inclusion criteria. In 11 articles some have obtained evidence of positive testing for SARS-CoV-2 in the air of hospital rooms and hallways of patients' rooms. The use of masks, the use of face protection, improvement of ventilation systems, corona curtain innovation, and the use of medical devices (Felix-1) are some of the efforts to prevent and control the transmission of COVID-19 by air.
