The research objective is to analyze legal policies for perpetrators who commit acts of violence / bullying / oppression / torture of people with mental disorders based on Law no. 18 of 2014 concerning Mental Health and the Criminal Code, and the legal consequences of legal policies for perpetrators who commit acts of violence / bullying / oppression / torture of people with mental disorders based on Law no. 18 of 2014 concerning Mental Health and the Criminal Code. The method used is normative legal research. Sources of data consist of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. In this study, the data were analyzed qualitatively and in drawing conclusions, the authors applied the deductive thinking method, namely a statement or proposition that was general in nature into a specific statement. Based on the research results, it is known that the legal policy for perpetrators who commit acts of violence / bullying / oppression / torture of people with mental disorders is based on Law no. 18 of 2014 concerning Mental Health and the Criminal Code there are still no strict sanctions regulating this matter, however, in the implementation of law enforcement it still refers to the criminal code book.
