Abstract

Implementasi Kebijakan Remidial Teaching pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Tahun Pelajaran 2012-2013 di SMP Negeri 3 GresikSholikinGuru SMP Negeri 3 GresikE-mail: sholikin89@yahoo.co.idAbstract:This study used qualitative approach.Based on the results of analysis, it can be known that the implementation of policy of remedialteaching atSMPNegeri 3 Gresik carries outquite well. The supporting factors of the implementation of that policy are: 1).communication; clarity andcertainty of the information work well,2). The ability of resource carries outquite well, 3). The attitude ofimplementer is evaluated quite well, and 4). The structure of bureaucracy carries out optimally. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors are: 1).The consistency of information conveyancehas not been implemented well. 2). Theinformation resource; most of teachers have not utilized the information resource from internet as well as from other resources. And 3). The attitude of implementer; there are teachers who have not been responsible and consistent in implementing remedial teaching policy.Keywords: implementation, policy, remidial teachingAbstrak:Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisa maka, dapat diketahui bahwa implementasi kebijakan remidial teaching di SMP Negeri 3 Gresik. Faktor pendukung implementasi kebijakan tersebut antara lain : 1). komunikasi; kejelasan dan kepastian informasi berjalan baik, 2). kemampuan sumber daya; berjalan cukup baik, 3). sikap pelaksana; dinilai cukup baik, dan 4). struktur birokrasi; berjalan optimal. Sedangkan untuk faktor penghambat antara lain : 1). konsistensi penyampaian informasi; belum dilaksanakan dengan baik. 2). sumber daya informasi; ada sebagian guru belum memanfaatkan sumber informasi dari internet maupun sumber lainnya. dan 3). sikap pelaksana; ada guru belum bertanggungjawab dan belum konsisten dalam melaksanakan kebijakan remidial teaching.Kata kunci: implementasi, kebijakan, remidial teaching

Abstract

Being the centre of excellent, madrasahs have to develop theirHuman Resources, due to the increasing of society demands.They have to improve not only cognitive and skill competence butalso their attitude. This article offers madrasah to be a LearningOrganization, in which madrasah always promotes ContinuouseProfessional Development (CPD) for their Human Resource (teachers)by faciliting their teachers several activities. Lesson Study offersa lot of activities which enables teachers share their knowledgeand skill through ”Plan, Do and See”. By implementing LS madrasahthe teacher will get a lot of beneficial, such as defining learning goal,implementing a certain teaching model and how to evaluate theteaching and learning process. All of those will lead us to what wecalled as a Learning Organisation.

Abstract

Opening a lesson is a very important part of the overall learningactivity, as it will give a deep impression to the students in theirlearning, as well as closing, where teachers and students will get a fullpicture of what they have learned and what to prepare for the nextlesson. In this study. On this occasion researcher tried to elaborate ofhow teachers open and close lessons. This research uses a descriptivequali tati ve research, by using observati on as data col lectioninstrument. While the population and sample are the teachers ofEnglish MTs se East Java, amounting to 35 people. The resultsshowed that teachers in opening lessons for components; Linkingcurrent learning materials with previous learners’ experiences orlearning 45.7 % (moderate), Asking challenging questions. 68.5 %(High), Delivering the benefits of learning materials. 40 % (low),Demonstrate something rel ated to the theme. 68.5% (Hi gh),Delivering ability to be achieved by learners, 54,7 % (Medium), whileDeli ver acti vity plan for example, individual, group work, andobservation. 34.2 % (Low). To close the lesson for components :Reflect or make a summary by involving students 51.4 % (Medium),Give the last oral 51.4 % (Last) oral test, Collect the work as portfoliomaterial, 45.7 % (Medium).

Abstract

Evaluation or Exam is an activity that is inseparable from the activity of teaching and learning carried out bythe teacher. Evaluation in the learning process has a very important role because from the evaluation, theteacher will get information about the level of competency of the students, the level of effectiveness of alesson. For this reason teachers need to be given competencies to develop an adequate evaluation tool sothat they can provide the right picture. The focus of this research is 1] How is the effectiveness of testsdestraction developed by Diklat participants ? 2] How is the level of difficulty indext of the test ? 3] Howis the quality of the descrimination index of the test ? This research method uses a Descriptive approach,with the subjects of the study were 35 English Teachers training participants. While the data collectiontechniques used the document, the results of the Prediction Tests developed by the training participantsand it was analyzed by Anates Version 04. The results of the analysis showed that the effectiveness ofdestractions were still not good, beside that there were still too difficult and too easy tests.While theDescrimination Index were more than 50 % of the questions withbad different power.
