Abstract

The Railway Facility Development Project has a large potential for work risk. This project certainly requires the implementation of a good SMKK so that zero accident can be achieved. The project is still experiencing a near miss (potential to cause) work accidents, one of which is in bored pile work. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of SMKK is and what are the main inhibiting factors for the implementation of SMKK and the level of risk at the bored pile work stage, which refers to the assessment of the PUPR Ministerial Regulation No. 10 of 2021. Data collection is done by means of observation, questionnaires, interviews. Observations were made to collect data on the application of SMKK directly at the research location, and interviews to obtain data that had not been found during observations. Then the questionnaire data was taken to 23 respondents to get the main inhibiting factors in the implementation of SMKK. The results of observations and analysis of the implementation of SMKK are obtained with satisfactory results and the main inhibiting factor in the implementation of SMKK is the limited budget (K3). The assessment of the implementation of SMKK on the 5 elements of SMKK in the PUPR Ministerial Regulation No. 10 of 2021 was obtained at 87%, of which there were 2 elements that did not meet, namely the elements of leadership and work participation in work safety and construction safety support. The stages of bored pile work include safe work because the greatest risk is in the medium category.

Abstract

The slurry polymer waste generated from the development of project X poses a danger to the surrounding environment, namely in the form of water pollution, fires or explosions, and poisoning or negative effects on human health. Most importantly, it can damage the environmental ecosystem. The aim of this research is to identify effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly polymer slurry waste treatment. The method used in this study is to analyze primary data obtained directly from field observations and secondary data, namely the results of previous research from journals and data collected by the company. The results showed that the addition of chemicals to the slurry waste treatment process turned out to be more effective because it facilitated the quicker separation of the polymer particles and water mixed in the polymer slurry waste.

Abstract

Fatigue is one of the main factors that can reduce performance and increase the risk of workplace accidents, especially for tower crane operators who are responsible for operating heavy equipment in construction environments. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of fatigue measurement using a mobile application versus a manual-based approach. It also aims to determine whether the features provided in the mobile application meet the needs of workers. The methods used include field observation, questionnaire distribution, interviews, and effectiveness testing through field studies involving tower crane operators at a construction project. The results of the study show that the use of mobile applications is more effective in measuring fatigue and more efficient in monitoring fatigue compared to manual measurements. It also enables early detection of potentially hazardous fatigue. Therefore, the mobile application can serve as an innovative solution to support occupational safety and risk management in the construction industry. However, additional features are needed in the application to measure fatigue factors such as travel condition and work environment condition.

Abstract

Labor productivity is the ability of construction workers to complete their main tasks and functions according to their respective fields. Many factors influence labor productivity, including time and work methods. This study aims to compare the actual productivity coefficient of carpenters with the Permen PUPR standards for formwork beam tasks in the Cakung Modern Logistic Warehouse project and identify the main factors affecting labor productivity in these tasks. The data collection methods used in this study are work sampling for productivity coefficient through field observation and questionnaires to determine the factors most affecting the productivity of carpenters in formwork beam tasks. The questionnaires data were then processed using IBM SPSS. The result of study show that the comparison of the actual coefficient with the Permen PUPR is 0,314610 for forwork scaffolding, 0,110432 for formwork fabrications, 0,006074 for formwork installation, and 1,636526 for formwork dismantling. The three main factors affecting the productivity of carpenters in forwok beam tasks are rainfall, work methods, and design complexity

Abstract

The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has proven to be highly beneficial for construction service providers in project planning and execution, including in the control of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks. However, the adoption of BIM technology for OHS management is still uneven across construction companies, as seen in the BSD Grand Mosque Project. This research aims to develop an OHS risk control model using 4D BIM for the BSD Grand Mosque Project and to identify its advantages and shortcomings. The novelty of this study lies in the innovative development of on-site OHS monitoring through BIM visualization integration, as well as in-depth analysis of expert and worker perceptions regarding the effectiveness of BIM models for OHS. The research methods involve the creation of a 4D BIM model, innovation in BIM-based OHS risk control, and evaluation through interviews and questionnaires. The results show that the developed model is highly effective in hazard identification, risk visualization, accurate control planning, material arrangement, and on-site OHS monitoring. Nevertheless, there are shortcomings in the specification features of OHS equipment, which are not yet optimal and require further development, and many workers still lack a full understanding of BIM modeling.
