Abstract

Along with the times and technology, the way of preaching has also changed. Compared to preaching through speech, currently preaching through writing is more urgent and effective to do, namely preaching using social media such as the internet and writings on social media that contain da'wah messages. The advantages of preaching with this model do not make the preaching material disappear even though the preacher, or the writer has died, as the expression of His Majesty Rasulullah SAW, "Indeed the ink of the scholars is better than the blood of the martyrs." However, the purpose of da'wah with this model will be realized if it is supported by effective media. This means that in the da'wah process the preachers do not only present material verbally, but also must deliver their da'wah material via social media so that the material can be read anywhere and anytime, as is the case with the role of social media today. If we look at da'wah at this time, it is necessary to have a critical and in-depth evaluation, because the styles, models, methods and media used also influence the implementation, direction, dynamics and implementation of da'wah. Given the importance of social media as a means of preaching, it is necessary to have specific strategies, methods and approaches for preachers in preaching regarding the use of social media as a means of conveying messages of Islamic da'wah. This journal will contribute thoughts to become an inspiration for preachers to use social media as a means of conveying da'wah messages. Keywords: Social Media, Da'wah, Effective

Abstract

Along with the development of the times of Indonesian society, especially people who are interested in television and radio, it is getting easier to receive information because of the development of programs on television and radio which are increasingly widespread and sophisticated. Television is the most widely used tool in accessing information and seeing various things that happen on radio. Therefore, many programs are produced, so methods and steps are needed so that the production of programs on television, both directly and indirectly, goes according to what is desired. Well, while radio is radio is electronic mass media that is the cheapest, easy to use, can be enjoyed anywhere and anytime. Radio has undergone a long process of development before becoming the mass communication medium it is today. The world of broadcasting continues to develop very rapidly without knowing boundaries and regions. Thanks to the development of communication / information technology, the flow of information can run very quickly, so as to be able to eliminate the distance in space and time between two places on earth and even between earth and outer space. This type of research is a qualitative research (qualitative research). This research method is documentation, namely data sources obtained from agencies or books (documents) related to this research problem. Radio is a form of mass media whose strength is as a disseminator of information that is very fast and able to reach. wide community. To achieve its target, namely listeners, something or program that will be displayed does not experience complex things. Compared to television, the difference is more complicated because radio media presents message content in audio form, while television presents message content in audiovisual form, motion and sync. Abstract

The present study examines the influence of user behaviour on the propagation of deceptive information on social media platforms within the Indonesian setting. It specifically focuses on the ramifications of such behaviour on political, health, business competition, and environmental matters. The beginning of the study highlights the gravity of the dissemination of hoaxes on social media platforms, attributing it to the algorithms that prioritise information that is engaging, frequently characterised by provocative or sensationalised headlines. The methodology section discusses how we adopted a mixed-methods approach to examine both quantitative data from social media metrics and qualitative data from user interviews. Additionally, network analysis was used to identify disinformation dissemination across platforms. The findings suggest that hoaxes spread quickly because they grab users' attention better than real information. Our research also shows that these fraudulent schemes can increase social strife, anger, and prejudice against certain groups or people, tarnishing their social standing. Our research shows that in democratic nations like Indonesia, where freedom of expression is important, incorrect information is often used for electoral gain. Our analysis shows that users need better digital literacy to handle this issue. Training people to spot fake news is one way to combat the growing problem of disinformation.
