Abstract

Abstract

This study provides empirical evidence related to the application of fixed asset accounting at the level of ministries or institutions' work units, with the research location at a university in Indonesia. Through this research, it can be proven that recording the value of fixed assets in the Statement of Financial Position sourced from the conversion of the value of capital expenditures in the LRA tends to cause problems if the codification of expenditure accounts does not contain the separation of recording the components of building support. The research in this study used a descriptive method by tracing historical/documentation data. The data studied comes from the documentation of planning/budgeting, budget realization, and financial reporting in 2015, especially those related to capital expenditure and fixed asset recording. The documentation starts from DIPA, RKA-KL, SPM, Contract Documents, Supervisory Consultant Reports, Contractor Reports for Construction Development Work, Financial Reports from SAIBA applications, and data from SIMAK-BMN. Data processing was carried out using descriptive statistical methods with the help of the Microsoft Excel application program. The results of this study indicate that after separating the recognition of building support components, the value of additional fixed assets in the agency in 2015 changed significantly. This research concludes that reclassification is needed after the value of capital expenditure is converted into the value of fixed assets to comply with PSAP 07, and maintenance expenditure can be budgeted

Abstract

Background: Cattles hold significant social and religious value in people's lives, especially during the Eid al-Adha celebration, where they are used as sacrificial animals in religious rituals. This study aimed to analyze the prevalence of ectoparasite and endoparasite infections in sacrificial cattles in Lubuk Minturun, Padang City. A total of five cattles were examined, representing three different pen conditions within a single farm, with two cattles selected from each pen as representatives. Methodology: Ectoparasite samples were collected using purposive sampling, while endoparasite samples were obtained using the flotation method. Microscopic examination was conducted for parasite identification. Findings: Two main ectoparasites were identified: Haemaphysalis longicornis and Rhipicephalus microplus. The prevalence of H. longicornis was highest in Cattle I (88.8%), followed by Cattle II (84.8%), Cattle III (68.6%), Cattle IV (59.5%), and Cattle V (65.8%). Meanwhile, R. microplus showed lower prevalence rates: Cattle I (11.2%), Cattle II (15.2%), Cattle III (31.4%), Cattle IV (40.5%), and Cattle V (34.2%). Ectoparasite infestations were most commonly found in the neck region, followed by the ears and buttocks. For endoparasites, Toxocara vitulorum was the most dominant species (63.51%), followed by Ascaris lumbricoides (22.97%), Eimeria sp. (5.40%), Paramphistomum sp. (4.06%), Trichuris sp. (2.70%), and Giardia lamblia (1.36%). These infections can lead to weight loss, digestive disorders, and reduced meat quality, and they may pose zoonotic risks to humans. Contribution: The findings highlight the need for improved livestock management practices, including regular deworming and ectoparasite control, to protect animal health and minimize public health risks

Abstract

Background: The vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei Boone) is a marine species of high economic value. Meanwhile, vannamei shrimps are easily attacked by parasites that can cause failure in the cultivation. This study aims to investigate ectoparasites and endoparasites in vannamei shrimp ponds in the Padang Pariaman area in terms of their prevalence and the pond water quality. Methodology: This research was carried out by purposive random sampling method. The parasites identification were conducted at the Animal Taxonomy Laboratory, Biology Department, Universitas Andalas. Findings: Six species of ectoparasites were found, namely Acineta sp., Arcella sp., Epistylis sp., Trichodina sp., Vorticella sp., and Zoothamnium sp. Moreover, only one species of endoparasite was found, namely Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP). The prevalence of ectoparasite species was highest in Zoothamnium sp. in 40-day-old shrimp (80 %) and 63.3 % in 30-day-old shrimp. Further, the prevalence of endoparasites was highest in female shrimp (94.5 %), while it was 87.8 % in male shrimp. Furthermore, there were six parameters of shrimp pond water quality that do not meet the cultivation standards, namely pH, DO, BOD, COD, ammonia, and zinc, while the other two parameters meet the standards, namely temperature and salinity. In conclusion, the production of vannamei shrimp can be reduced and parasitic disease outbreaks can result from water quality that does not meet culture standards. Contribution:This study contribute to the shrimp ponds in the area in managing stocking density, feeding levels, and sanitation.
