Abstract

Literature reflects the social ideology and criticizes the community that violates the Islamic ideology andmoral values. One of literature works is prophetic literature that discusses about daily life. Propheticliterature refers to literature that involves in human history. The development of prophetic literature withreligious pattern has many elements, including the human-God relation and inter-human relation.Prophetic literature also deals with reality, such as socio-cultural judgment and criticisms. The propheticliterature has three matters: ma'ruf (instructing to do the good things, humanization), nahi mungkar(preventing the evil things, liberation), and tukminu billah (having faith in the God, transcendental). Theresearchers used descriptive-qualitative research with Hermeneutics theory of Hans Georg-Gadamer tointerpret the Nabi Baru poetry compilation written by Triyanto Triwikromo, the definition of prophet, andprophetic or the features of a prophet as the ideal spiritual-individual. As the agent of change, propheticliterature has a motivation to return to the prophetic values and to guide the community in to the rightway. This matter needs three united materials to create unity. This research explains the representations ofhumanism, transcendental, and liberal values. The results showed that Nabi Baru poetry compilation bookby Triyanto Triwikromo contained values, such as humanism, liberal, and transcendental values.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, masyarakat sering  mengikuti beragam informasi dan perkembangan pengetahuan dalam kehidupan sosial. Salah satunya adalah situasi keadaan dan pengetahuan yang dapat dilihat langsung oleh pelaku masyarakat. Perkembangan tersebut tidak lepas dari wacana-wacana yang berkontribusi terhadap kehidupan sosial. Penelitian ini membongkar wacana yang direpresentasikan oleh pengarang dalam cerpen “Pada Suatu Hari, Ombak, dan Camar” karya Ramayda Akmal dan “PSBB” karya Kedung Darma Romansha. Wacana tersebut merupakan pesan atau makna yang muncul. Penelitian ini menerapkan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan menyimak dan mencatat penggunaan bahasa dalam dua cerpen tersebut berupa penggalan kalimat dan dialog. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan analisis wacana kritis dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dengan berfokus pada aspek sosial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis wacana kritis, cerpen ini menyuarakan apa yang terjadi dalam masyarakat saat pandemi COVID-19 merebak ke belahan dunia. Kritik tersebut berupaya untuk menyadarkan elit politik dan pemerintahan suatu negara dalam menanggulangi bencana pandemi COVID-19. Temuan ini juga membuktikan bahwa cerpen menjadi modal utama untuk menyampaikan pendapat sesuai dengan konteks peristiwa yang terjadi pada masa produksi cerpen.

Abstract

Novels, especially Dutch East Indies literature, depict the long history of Dutch colonization in Indonesia. Dutch East Indies literature is simply Dutch-language literature that talks about the Dutch East Indies at the time. The book Permulaan Sebuah Musim Baru di Suriname tells the story of Werk, an often dishonest job seeker who often recruits contract workers. In addition, they also often use mysticism and the occult to participate in the selection process. Prospective workers are often attracted by grandiose promises. Groups of workers also come from India and China. This is a very colorful part of Surinamese society. The researcher uses a social approach to investigate the novel whether there is no effort in life resistance. The researcher used a sociological approach to observe that even though the community already knew what was happening abroad, they did not make an initial protest. In this study, qualitative descriptive analysis was used to provide detailed explanations, including quotes and data relating to the subject matter of the novel.
