Abstract

The concept and teachings of redemption become a major desire for every religious person, including Christians. Through the teaching of atonement, every people are made aware that God works to liberate sinful humans through His acts of love. This work of God's liberation is understood as a form of human release from the power of sin so this teaching about redemption becomes the basic core of every religious teaching. One of the redeeming teachings of the Bible is found in the narrative of the bronze serpent statue in Numbers 21:4-9. However, it is not the only religion that talks about the teachings of redemption, every culture also has the teachings of redemption, including in this case the culture in the Nias community called Famatö Harimao. By using qualitative methods, especially library research and textual interpretation approaches, this research shows that the narrative of the copper snake statue can be used as the basis for contextualizing Famatö Harimao culture. The results of the study show that the Famatö Harimao culture which has been contextualized through the basis of Numbers 21:4-9 can still be lived and lived by the people of Nias because through this culture the people of Nias have a concept of redemption that is culturally and biblically accountable.

Abstract

AbstractDuring childhood, children may not be able to manage information properly. Children's desires are often instant, causing them to do things that are not right. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Church Community Development to teach the children according to the teachings of the Bible in the church. Therefore, the church's development efforts focus on children to achieve the main goal of teaching or educating each age group of children to reach a level of growth that is in line with the fullness of Jesus according to the Bible. Therefore, the church's development efforts for children need to be carefully designed and structured according to Christian values and biblical teachings. The author uses a qualitative descriptive analysis research method based on literature, which collects data through journals and books. The purpose of this writing is to clarify the role of church community development in shaping the character of Sunday school children in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. Key words: The upbuilding of church citizens, children, and the biblical AbstrakPada masa Anak-anak belum dapat mengelola informasi dengan baik. Keinginan anak-anak adalah sesuatu yang instan sehingga hal yang tidak benar pun akan mereka lakukan. Hal ini merupakan tanggung jawab Pembinaan Warga Gereja kepada kelompok anak untuk mengajarkan sesuai dengan ajaran Alkitab didalam gereja. oleh sebab itu upaya pembinaan gereja memusatkan pembinaan kepada anak untuk mencapai tujuan utama yaitu mengajarkan atau mendidik setiap kelompok usia anak-anak mencapai tingkat pertumbuhan yang sesuai dengan kepenuhan Yesus menurut Alkitab. Oleh sebab itu, upaya pembinaan gereja kepada kelompok usia anak perlu dirancang dengan matang dan disusun sesuai nilai-nilai kekristenan dan ajaran Alkitab. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian analisis dekriftif kualitatif yang berbasis kepustakaan yang dimana metode ini mengumpulkan data yang ada melalui jurnal dan buku. Ada pun Tujuan dari penulisan memperjelas peran pembinaan warga gereja dalam membentuk karakter anak sekolah minggu sesuai dengan ajaran Alkitab. Kata kunci: Pembinaan Warga Gereja, Anak. Alkitabiah
