Abstract

Abstract This study aims to understand in an effort to increase student creativity and increase public speaking insight at UPT SDN 42 Gresik. This research is motivated by the lack of teacher approach and assistance to students so that student creativity is still minimally formed. This research is a qualitative research that directly provides assistance to students. The subjects in this study were students at UPT SDN 42 Gresik. Data collection techniques in this study used oral and practical tests. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and cycle results. The descriptive results explain that the students' ability in creativity is very high, and the ability of public speaking is also very good. Judging from the results of the cycle table that cycle 1 before mentoring the average student is 34% in creativity and explaining lessons in front of his friends, and the average student in cycle 2 is 48% in creativity and explaining lessons in front of friends - friends, while after mentoring the average student in cycles 1 and 2 was 69% and 85% in creativity and explaining lessons in front of their friends. Abstract

Abstract Education must be able to accommodate towards to all those differences, and must provide all the students need as well encouraging them to actively participate in the learning process. The teaching process in class is still not giving the best support towards each student’s need. Most teachers still have a mindset that all students must have the same ability and has no clue how to probe the students need. The teaching process that’s been given are usually seem monotone and still using the teacher centered procedure, this procedure will hampering the critical thinking of students. I will share about the implementation from one of learning model which is differentiating instruction. This model can accommodate diversity students based on different readiness levels, interests and learning profile. Keywords : Differentiated Instruction, Diversity

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the storytelling learning method on the mastery of Indonesian vocabulary in class III UPT SDN 100 Gresik. This research is motivated by the low mastery of Indonesian vocabulary in class III UPT SDN 100 Gresik. This research is a descriptive classroom action research. The subjects in this study were 20 students in 1 class. The data collection technique in this study used an oral test. The data analysis technique used covariance analysis. The results showed that the significant value was evidenced by the calculated significance value in the hypothesis test of 0.060 which was greater than 0.05 with a partial value of 0.78 or 78%. In this case, it can be said that learning by using the storytelling method has a significant effect or it can be said that the learning of Indonesian vocabulary mastery increases from the results of the previous cycle data.
