Abstract

This study aims to assess the level of achievement of the success of the policy program by examining the implementation of the Stunting Prevention Policy in Malang Regency based on Regent Regulation Number 33 of 2018. According to the statistics of the Malang Regency Health Office in 2018 which recorded that there were at least 30,323 stunted children, which were divided into two groups, namely very short and short based on classification with height measurement criteria. This study used a qualitative technique with a descriptive type, and the participants were selected purposively with program recipient informants from the Malang Regency area. The results showed that the Department of Population Control and Family Planning (DP2KB) of Malang Regency consisted of four areas, namely: (1) Field of Counseling and Mobilization of Regional Family Planning (PPKBD); (2) Population Control Sector; (3) Family Resilience and Welfare Sector; and (4) Family Planning Service Sector. Each of these four fields has a number of priority activity programs in preventing stunting in Malang Regency.

Abstract

The community service that we are doing this time is tourism awareness. This dedication to the Mitra Arjuna Gapoktan in Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City aims to assist the Gapoktan in terms of the tourism potential of the region. With the implementation of this community service, it is hoped that Gapoktan Mitra Arjuna will be more optimal in utilizing its natural potential. In order to create a tourism-aware community in this village, we are doing a number of things such as providing tourist facilities, assisting in the creation of promotional content, and outreach to awareness of nature's potential. Abstract

The study focuses on describing the implementation of a population alert school as a stunting prevention strategy in Malang Regency. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with six informants participating in the study. Data collection involved interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis encompassed data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the study are as follows: Population Alert Schools have been implemented in Malang Regency since 2019. The Population Alert School curriculum has been integrated into the existing school curriculum. Several schools have organized activities known as SSK (abbreviated from Population Alert School in Indonesian). The primary objective of implementing population alert schools is to prevent an increase in stunting rates in Malang District. However, the implementation of population alert schools faces obstacles, with one notable challenge being the lack of universal adoption by all schools in Malang District. Based on the study's results, several suggestions are proposed: Optimize SSK activities further to enhance their effectiveness in addressing stunting. Transform SSK activities into regional policies to ensure mandatory implementation in all schools, considering the ongoing prevalence of stunting in Malang Regency. Foster collaboration between the government and the community to reduce stunting more effectively, thereby achieving the desired goal. These recommendations aim to improve the implementation of population alert schools and enhance efforts to combat stunting in Malang Regency.

Abstract

Pelayanan terhadap kalangan lanjut usia yang dilakukan oleh Muhammadiyah Senior Care (MSC) terimplementasi dalam beragama kegiatan yang dievaluasi secara berkala. Standar kegiatan yang dilakukan mengacu pada ketetapan pelayanan yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah melalui undang-undang. Penilaian terhadap kegiatan dan evaluasi pasca implementasi menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan post-implementation review. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari kegiatan pelayanan lanjut usia dan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh MSC Kota Probolinggo. Penelitian ini menemukan implementasi pelayanan mengacu pada prosedur operasional dalam bentuk pemeriksaan kesehatan, kerohanian, konseling, usaha kreatif, dan rekreasi. Sedangkan evaluasi diarahkan pada laporan kegiatan dan keuangan. Kegiatan yang bersifat terpusat dengan mengabaikan pada kebutuhan lokal lansia berdampak kurang efektifnya proses pelayanan. Beberapa kegiatan dinilai tidak berjalan yang diakibatkan ketidaksesuaian fisik dan usia. Hambatan ini justru tidak ditemukan dalam proses evaluasi yang hanya memfokuskan pada penyerapan anggaran. Fenomena ini menjadi temuan penting yang dihasilkan penelitian ini yang menunjukkan ketimpangan gagasan pelayanan terhadap lansia dengan realitas yang berlangsung di lapangan. Upaya perbaikan dengan melibatkan pimpinan lokal dan evaluasi yang mengacu pada kebutuhan lansia menjadi rekomendasi yang dihadirkan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan ini menjadi urgen untuk mengatasi problem mendasar lansia yang berbeda antara satu daerah dengan daerah lainnya, sehingga program yang bersifat sentralistis terbukti tidak sesuai. Kata Kunci: Lanjut Usia, Muhammadiyah Senior Care, Evaluasi Program   Services for the elderly carried out by Muhammadiyah Senior Care (MSC) are implemented in religious activities that are evaluated regularly. The standard of activities carried out refers to the service provisions launched by the government through the law. Assessment of activities and post-implementation evaluation are the objectives of this research. This research uses qualitative methods with data analysis techniques using post-implementation review to achieve these objectives. The data sources used in this study came from elderly service activities and evaluations conducted by MSC Probolinggo City. This study found that the implementation of services refers to operational procedures like health checks, spirituality, counseling, creative efforts, and recreation. At the same time, evaluation is directed at activity and financial reports. Centralized activities that ignore the local needs of the elderly have an impact on the ineffectiveness of the service process. Some activities are considered not running due to physical and age incompatibility. This obstacle was not found in the evaluation process, which only focused on budget absorption. This phenomenon is an important finding produced by this research which shows the discrepancy between the idea of services for the elderly and the reality in the field. Improvement efforts by involving local leaders and evaluations that refer to the needs of the elderly are recommendations presented in this study. This finding becomes urgent to overcome the fundamental problems of the elderly that differ from region to region so that centralized programs are proven inappropriate. Abstract

Political awareness among youth is often low, which impacts their participation in the democratic process. Youth have great potential to contribute to political development, but a lack of knowledge and skills often hinders their participation. Taking the object of the Muhammadiyah generation represented by the Muhammadiyah Student Association in Batu City, this service aims to improve youth understanding of the political and democratic process which has an impact on active participation in “adiluhung politics”. Through this education there is a process of transfer of knowledge and active political participation, especially for groups of young voters in the 2024 elections and politics universally. We have done this service and received a positive impression from the participants. Participants discussed the dynamics of current national politics and the unrest of youth groups to participate in practical politics with just noble values. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana program bantuan sosial dilaksanakan, mengidentifikasi penyebab ketergantungan penerima dan menjelaskan inisiatif pemerintah untuk mendorong keluarga penerima manfaat agar menjadi mandiri. Sebagai alat penting dalam kebijakan kesejahteraan sosial, program bantuan sosial melindungi kelompok rentan dan membantu masyarakat miskin dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar. Namun, masih terdapat sejumlah masalah dalam implementasi bantuan sosial, terutama terkait akurasi data penerima manfaat, persepsi publik terhadap program dan kecenderungan sebagian peserta untuk terus menerima bantuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam. Pekerja sosial yang secara aktif terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program bantuan sosial serta perwakilan dari Dinas Sosial menjadi narasumber penelitian. Untuk memahami dinamika pelaksanaan program dan perilaku penerima bantuan, data dianalisis melalui proses transkripsi, reduksi data, kategorisasi tema dan interpretasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa bantuan sosial umumnya dilaksanakan melalui metode distribusi yang lebih langsung dan terorganisir kepada pengguna, yang telah mengurangi kemungkinan penyalahgunaan. Namun, hambatan utama yang memengaruhi ketepatan penargetan program tetaplah masalah kualitas data penerima manfaat dan pembaruan data. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sifat rutin desain program, opini masyarakat, budaya menerima bantuan dan kondisi ekonomi keluarga saling berinteraksi untuk memengaruhi ketergantungan penerima manfaat terhadap bantuan sosial. Namun, pemerintah telah melakukan sejumlah upaya untuk mengurangi ketergantungan, termasuk langkah-langkah pemberdayaan ekonomi, pertemuan pengembangan kapasitas keluarga dan program lulusan. Kualitas metode pengumpulan data, prosedur verifikasi, dukungan sosial serta pengintegrasian inisiatif pemberdayaan yang berfokus pada kemandirian penerima, semuanya memengaruhi efektivitas bantuan sosial menurut temuan studi ini.
