Abstract

Many things must be considered in a production system in the industrial world, such as the performance of a machine or tool used. Productivity is closely related to smooth production. The low productivity of the machine will cause losses for the company, where this loss is caused by the use of ineffective and inefficientmachines. This study aims to determine the performance of the machine and the factors that cause damage to the press machine at PT Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi. The research was conducted using the application of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to increase productivity and maximize facilities. TPM is also accompanied by the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method to measure the performance and accuracy of the machine used. This data is in the form of quantitative which is calculated using the methods mentioned above. The results showed that the average value of the availability rate was 95%, the performance rate was 87% and the quality rate was 99%. From these results, it can be seen that only the performance rate does not meet world-class standards. This is also obtained from the calculation of the six big losses, the largest percentage is in idle and minor stoppage losses, which is 47%. Alternative repair solutions can be carried out by implementing machine maintenance and continuous improvement,providing special training for operators, and reducing non-productive time.

Abstract

In production activities, fulfillment customer demand requires a method of calculating uncertainty the demand prediction in the future period. PT Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi has its own forecasting system, but the results are different from the actual data. One of the productions is Arm Rear Brake KWBF part shows a ± stock difference from actual demand data with forecasting data each month. This study to propose improvements to the forecasting system for Arm Rear Brake KWBF part by comparing three forecasting systems and selecting the lowest error rate. The method used in solving these problems is a results comparison of the moving average method, trend analysis method and company forecasting system with data collection techniques through observation and interview. The data used is in the form of general data such as company identity and special data such as historical production data of the company. The results of this study indicate that the lowest error is found in trend analysis method with MAD of 1811, MSE of 5702679 and MAPE of 0.46. So, the trend analysis method on the Arm Rear Brake KWBF part is feasible to be applied in the company.

Abstract

PT Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi (CKA) is a manufacturer active in the country, and part arm rear break KYEA broken are one of the parts that are produced every month, and product defects occur frequently. Substantially companies need to improve the quality of products manufactured according to standards and prescribed specification in order to reduce product defect levels. This study aims to use lean six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measurem Analyze, Improve, and Control) approach and kaizen analysis to identify the factors that cause defect levels and suggest improvements to reduce the number of defect. The capacity of sigma obtained from the production process part arm rear break KYEA is 4,6. There are three types of defects in the production process, restice dented 9%, blank minus 27%, blunt serration 64%. In addition, kaizen analysis was performed by 5W+1H analysis. The results of this survey are expected to contribute to improving product qualitu, satisfaction customer, dan maximizing profits.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a local company engaging in the production of metal stamping parts, tools, and dies that serve product requests from domestic and international multinational companies as customers of this company. In its supply chain system, the company is still experiencing problems with the arrival of the brake rod joint part material that is not on time. This study aims to identify and analyze risks in the supply chain material part joint brake rod using the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) method. The use of the FMEA method to determine the level of risk priority that has been identified based on the RPN value. The identification results obtained a total of 12 risks on the part of suppliers, storage of raw materials, and the production process. The highest priority risk is on the supplier side where there are delays from importers and loading shearing is overloaded as indicated by an RPN value of 90. In addition, inaccuracy in the shearing process is the second highest priority risk with an RPN value of 50. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the highest priority risk by evaluating supplier performance.
