<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the process, motivation and student learning outcomes with the problem solving model. The subjects of this study were students in class IX E of SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Semester 2 for the 2021/2022 academic year with a total of 35 students. Data collection techniques using test techniques, observation and documentation. Data validity was carried out using triangulation techniques. Data analysis used descriptive comparative analysis with graphs, namely comparing the condition of the initial test scores in cycle I and the test scores after cycle II. The results showed that the increase in the process, motivation, results and completeness of student learning by using the problem solving model each cycle increased student motivation in the initial study by 13 students or 37.14%, increased in the first cycle to 65.71% or 23 students , increased to 94.29% or 33 students in the second cycle, and the average learning outcomes of 58.86 in the first cycle, increased to 68.79 in the second cycle, to 76.57 in the second cycle, while the level of learning completeness from 11 students or 31.43% to 21 students or 60.00% and 32 students or 91.43% in the second cycle. The conclusion is that the use of problem solving methods in Social Studies learning can increase motivation, results and learning completeness of Class IX E students of SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Semester 2 Academic Year 2021/2022. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses, motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dengan model problem solving. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX E SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Semester 2 tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Validitas data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif komperatif dengan grafik yaitu membandingkan kondisi nilai tes awal siklus I dan nilai tes setelah siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan proses, motivasi, hasil dan ketuntasan belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model problem solving setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada studi awal sebanyak 13 siswa atau 37,14%, meningkat pada siklus pertama menjadi 65,71% atau 23 siswa, meningkat menjadi 94,29% atau 33 siswa pada siklus kedua, dan rata-rata hasil belajar dari 58,86 pada siklus pertama, meningkat menjadi 68,79 pada siklus kedua, menjadi 76,57 pada siklus kedua, sedangkan tingkat ketuntasan belajar dari 11 siswa atau 31,43% menjadi 21 siswa atau 60,00% dan 32 siswa atau 91,43% pada siklus kedua. Kesimpulanya adalah penggunaan metode problem solving dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan motivasi, hasil dan ketuntasan belajar siswa Kelas IX E SMP Negeri 1 Sipoholon Semester 2 Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022.]]>
